I learned some interesting information about the wolves this spring.
The wolves are trained to respond to the sound of a bell. In a worst case scenario if a person was to fall into the wolf pit, the trainer would radio back and another trainer will ring a large bell. The wolves are trained to stop whatever they are doing and immediately go to the exit.
While the trainer I spoke with didn't know of any incidences of it needing to be used for a human fall; wildlife does occasionally get in there. Despite it being "natural" the park obviously prefers that park goers not see the wolves eat live animals, so they will often ring the bell.
The worst event that the trainer knew of was when a groundhog got in there and the wolves we're playing tug-of-war with it.

At this point it's impossible to know. All we know at this point is they are doing extensive enough work to the fencing to require marking:
Great find @Jahrules - since a lot of the fencing in that area is wooden and/or probably over a certain height that requires a permit (I know in certain localities any fencing structure over 6' tall requires a permit), it's probably just routine replacement.
Since it said the wolf area specifically I'm curious if it's only the habitat or if that also includes other parts of the animal area.

Throwing out another possibility here. Wolf area is rather generic. Right across the path is the Pet Shanigans stage that we know won't be hosting that show. I have reliably been enformed that the back stage area is in bad shape. Could this be part of a more general project in that area instead of strictly the wolf habitat?
@Jahrules may have found the first sign of a pretty interesting story...

Just a little update: It sounds like 3 new wolves!
Plot twist: They got new wolves to make Zachary “disappear “.
They do they have been out durring taste of Busch Gardens. But they have lost some do to age.
I had heard that they were looking/considering but have not heard of it being a done thing. Hopefully I just have old info.
