I kind of agree with James, halfway. I loved the serenity of the area with the Wild Maus; however, DarKastle interests me much more as far as storyline and theming goes.

Maybe if they could have built it farther from the path and have more trees around it, so you walk to densely forested area before getting to the castle, it would have really added to theming.

Has this been posted already? Went to the park yesterday and my boyfriend noticed a mistake on one of the 40th Anniversary signs...

James said:
The name isn't Cheetah Chase anymore.

They said when it was relocated to BGT, it was renamed Cheetah Chase, so that is technically accurate.

Let's not nit-pick like that or else we'll be here all day criticizing all the signs.

Also, if you're looking for a big mistake, I suggest reading the Loch Ness Monster sign.

I think the sign would have gotten quite verbose if they explained that it was renamed again when Cheetah Hunt opened. I never really thought about it but that little Wild Mouse has had four friggin names... That's kind of impressive. I wonder if that is some sort of record.

I think any incarnation of this ride has always been way to rough to me. It does its job of scaring ppl for sure! :)

I know I'm in the minority, but I was not happy when they removed this for DK. They could have just moved it somewhere else in the park instead of moving it to Tampa. I always laughed and had a good time when I rode this, especially on the turns!

The beginning of the YouTube video Mike541x posted says that this was at Busch Gardens "Williams Burg."

I'm a staunch believer in the idea that a cloned coaster does not belong at BGW- full stop. I have more nostalgia for Wild Maus than any other ride in the park (sans Le Mans), but I honestly don't believe it should have been installed- let alone kept.

If they wanted to build a custom mouse themed to one of the park's hamlets, sure, I'd be on-board, but a themeless box of supports and track never belonged at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

I really enjoyed Wild [Izzy/Maus] in its day, partially because it was just a good time and partially because of the German hamlets' history of smaller roller coasters in the late 1970s/early 1980s.  Granted, those earlier rides disappeared as the park "grew up."

Given its location near Oktoberfest's collection of carnival-style games, I didn't think IzzyMaus did too much harm to the tone of the place.  Seems to me that Oktoberfest is one of only two hamlets (other: Festa) whose theme does support the idea of portables/clones.

Too bad Izzy didn't go to Festa instead of Tampa. It actually did fill a niche in the park for younger riders (and some older ones I could have named at the time).

Everyone thought the mistake was "Cheetah Chase" but, uh, there's a different, much larger mistake I just discovered. If anyone can figure it out (with evidence preferably!), go right on ahead. Otherwise, keep an eye out for a BGWFans article soon™. I've been doing a lot of research.

Genuinely don't understand this opinion. Sure, I may be in the minority that enjoys Tempesto, but think about it: cloned rides are cheap and they are easy to built and maintain (most of the time). Just because a park is extremely nice and in much better than most US parks doesn't mean it gets any special treatment; at the end of the day, park management is gonna do what park management is gonna do.

That's what was concluded in the previous discussion (that it wasn't a mistake, it was just BGW not including all the information).

That sign DOES have a VERY REAL mistake though.
Probably not it, but they weren't Old Country in 1996...they were what they are now (except for that "Europe" thing '06-08) just plain ol BGW.
