The other thing I thought of is that of the catwalks outside of the building, there is only one catwalk on the right side of the track (except for by the VW bug, which is on the left). What if they are adding another catwalk to something like the bridge as a fall safe (if they have to get guests off the ride and someone slips... ouch... lawsuit)... Just an idea.

Likely just for improved access to existing theming. There is always a chance that it could enable the park to hang new theming though...

Howl-O-Scream overlay anyone?

I'm thinking a hard to reach place that requires more maintenance than first thought.

They should have a tour with the lights on, and you should be able to ride it with the lights on during the tour.

That would be the worst possible thing! I'd have a heart attack knowing how close stuff is getting to bashing my head in.

FoF at Kings Dominion seems to have received more floor lights and it has that crazy feeling of colliding with something.

It's still not the most impressive ride I've ever been on. Methinks they're using it as a test platform for something MUCH bigger & better for BGT.....Anyone think otherwise?

I doubt that BG would make one of the biggest investments in the park's history as a test platform. This is their idea of "Much bigger and better". I do believe that they will look to see if Verbolten generates income and interest for the park and use that information to plan future attractions.

Personally I love Verbolten, but I'm not so sure if it makes sense for the park. In a few years, Verbolten will have lost its shiny new appeal, but will still cost BGW a fortune to run and maintain. I'm all for it if BGW wants to become a Universal or Disney type park where people come for the experience more than the rides, but if this is the case then BGW needs to spend money on EVERYTHING. You can't pour money into the newest high tech attractions while stripping Nessie of all it's special effects. You can't expect Verbolten to make up for the repulsiveness of Festa Italy (maybe a bit of an exaggeration). My point is if that's the park that Busch Gardens wants to become, it has to start working towards it and spending some money. I love Verbolten, but I feel like if BGW doesn't continue to aggressively expand, it's lifetime will be considerably shorter than a solid, much cheaper to run, rollercoaster.

No, Cheetah Hunt was their Multi-Launch Coaster, Tampa won't be getting anything like Verbolten.

I think it would be cool... I have seen it with the lights on... Was on a tour and the ride shutdown while we were in there... I asked the guide if we could turn the lights on... after a phone call, the lights were on... It was neat

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier but I heard that a few weeks after Verbolten opened, they turned off over 50 strobe lights due to the nauseating symptoms some team members felt when watching over the ride while in operation.

The Team Members sit inside a room inside the building. It has four walls, a roof, and everything. They aren't in the open area of the actual ride itself down there.

This would be awesome, but I'd rather see LNM get the attention. Vebolten already has a great theme and LNM could have some cool effects added throughout the woods and tunnel.

I love the purple fog that comes out during HOS though.

I understand this, but this info is based on them watching the ride through monitors.

I've been on the Verbolten tour and have seen the cameras they watch through. They're infrared/heat and are only on the brake sections inside the building. You can't see any of the special effects/strobe lights. Like, at all.

Those freaking gnomes are behind it all. They're angering the spirit of the forest, calling storms upon us, and turning the Wolves against us. Gunter is just making things worse by bringing the gnomes he "finds" back to Gerta as "gifts." Beware the gnomes.

^ This. In fact, check this out.

I've been sitting on that video for ages (ask Evan). Not a single ounce of editing as I simply uploaded it right off my camera to my personal YouTube channel. Should get the point across nicely though. Also, lastly, take the Verbolten Tour if you haven't already! Best deal in the entire park.

Cool video! How long ago did you go on this tour?

I guess it was around early September of last year. I took it again earlier this year as well though. Maybe I'll get a full post on it done one day.
