I am familiar with that ride...but can't for the life of me picture where exactly that is...is it after the second launch going to to the left turn into the broken building?

Scene 1 is right before the right turn into the first launch

Don't have great photos, but just to give a broad update for the ride in general, station work has continued, but it's moving slowly. Same with the queue. The fact that the VW Beetle still hasn't migrated into the building is another red flag re: the status of the reno. Definitely moving slower than originally planned. Right now there appeared to be a fair bit of progress on the launch 1 building facade, but since the Rhine River Cruise isn't operating today, I can't see how much they've done up there.

It's seasonal maintenance. Same thing you can expect to see happening with Verbolten soon most likely. DarKoaster and Vbolt are off-season workhorses for BGW so they normally need to go down for annual maintenance at some point not during the traditional off-season.

Yeah, but it's rumored to go down again relatively soon I believe?

We saw this with Nessie too if I remember correctly? Focus during the recent downtime was on the renovation, not on its regular off-season maintenance so that likely still needs to be completed.

Why not just do the maintenance while the ride is being redone anyway. I swear I saw the trains being rebuilt

It's unlikely that park maintenance and outside contractors want to be having to work around one another's evolving schedules.

Maybe the upcoming Vbolt downtime won't materialize—we'll see—but that's the rumor as far as I know.

Yes, and it’s planned to be open for the Mardi Gras event as well (weather permitting).
