I guess I'm just lucky and haven't experienced many rattle-heavy coasters, which may be the case, putting Verbolten higher on my list.

Needless of ranking, I think it not subjective to say the rattle at the bottom of that drop is rather obvious.

Yep understood. I know it's outside of bgw. I was just wondering if FoF was in @Nicole's top 5

It's also off topic for this thread, but I couldn't think of a better place to ask her..

I find Nessie to be much more rattly and jerky than Verbolten. Maybe Alpengeist, too (it's not bad at all in the front, but center-rear really whips you around laterally).

I thought I already replied to this... weird.

Yes, FoF is worse than Bolt. I would have to ponder my actual top five. There are some real headache-inducers out there.

My top 5 is easy to determine:
  1. Superman Six Flags New England.
  2. Storm Runner Hersheypark.
  3. Flight Of Fear Kings Dominion.
  4. Steel Force Dorney Park.
  5. Phantoms Revenge Kennywood.
HM: Anaconda KD, Old Hulk IOA, Millenium Force CP, Sidewinder HP, Kingda Ka SFGAdv

Bolt is no where near even HM for me. The lack of OTSR's and extreme speeds is what helps it for me. That's something all those other ones have in common. Either OTSR's, extreme speeds, or both.

Verbolten's effects seem to have a mind of their own today. The first half aren't working at all then the second are all coming on at the same time. The face for the spirit was lit up the entire time both times we rode and you could see everything, including the safety signs for the drop and the drop and mechanics of it, etc. I know there's been issues but there's no reason for it to be this bad for a coaster of its age.

So rode twice today and first time all of the effects lights were on at the same time as well as some of the main building lights. It was cool and terrible at the same time. Got to see things we shouldn't. Including the multi colored eyes for the wolves and all the colors of the spirit. Rode second time few hours later and she's back to mostly working properly. Don't know if she was just pitching a tantrum the past couple of days but hope she stays working here on out. Definitely got worse before got better but hopefully she's fixed.

I rode it for the first time in years today, as well. Obviously, theres work to be done inside the show building. I was kind of WTF with how much the ride rattles now. It used to be much smoother.

And they weren't running the red train today either. The red train is the worst. Others vary greatly. Definitely not aging well.

This is my exact complaint, it happened so quickly how much the rattle developed. I imagine riding it frequently makes it not as noticeable, but having gone on a couple years hiatus from the coaster it hit me hard.

I think that's what will ultimately be the downfall of this ride, just how rough it's gonna become. Hopefully new trains down the line can help with that.

I'd imagine if it's rough from track alignment issues new trains won't fix the issue, otherwise it's probably an issue of wheel clearances.

With all the concerns around the show building, wonder if they've also skimped on wheel maintenance lately?

That; or the curse of Ludwig? It started getting noticably worse in 2017, right?
