There are three reasons why there aren't as many trees in the area

1. There gradiant of the hills during the S-Turn make it difficult for new trees to grow in the area due to the fact their roots haven't branch out yet. This prevents them from gaining the grip they need to stay upright
2. That section of the ride was once the orginial entrance into the Bavarian village on the Big Bad Wolf ride thus there was hardly any trees there to begin with.
3. Last, the entire area was removed when big bad wolf went away and the show building put in its place, so placing trees there was really not a priority with the park for the new ride.

This would be extremely expensive, but I would love to see a faux mountain covering the areas of V-Bolt show building visible from main pathways. It could be a miniature mountain range with trees and rock work seen from all of Oktoberfest excluding Festhaus Park which would still be a barren show building. For anyone wondering what it would look like it could be something like the mountain range above Be Our Guest.

For a cheaper option they could place a scrim over the showbuilding of a mountain range for a few years until vegetation grows in. BBW used to look a lot different in the 80's.

I was thrilled when I saw that fantastic new fense last week. I have always hated when rude people cut through the bushes. It obviously destroyed the plants. Furthermore it infuriated me when selfish, lazy people cut in front of me in line, because I am not willing to tromp on the landscaping.

Edit: Besides, what do you save? 15 seconds?

But there wasn't any landscaping there..just a dirt patch

What is infuriating is people going under chains and ropes to cut ahead

False. It had landscaping until people started shoving it aside because they couldn't walk 10 steps extra. The park planted it densely to try to prevent this and people literally shoved the shrubbery aside and killed it because they wanted to cut in line.

Edit: Nicole beat me to it.

About damn time!

I always liked walking around the long way (the "right way") as people cut in front of me. Then, when the line stopped moving, I would just hop back in front of the people who cut through the garden. It was usually amusing to watch people's confused reactions, and even more fun to explain why I was reclaiming my rightful spot.

That said, I always wanted them to just a put a big ol' "Line jumpers will be ejected from the park without refund" sign, smack in the middle of the makeshift path that people cut through, physically blocking that entire path. I for one would have appreciated the irony. :p

If there was any landscaping people had already tramped it to non-existence anytime I went.
It will be nice not to have to be rushed down the line but rather take my time to walk around down the path.

Hearing this story is almost as cathartic as watching a Dirty Harry movie. You, sir, are my theme park hero!
