It is nothing new about this trampling through the foliage. People were doing that soft opening weekend nearly as soon as the rope dropped for Verbloated. If the park does now attempt to pinpoint those who do that then it will continue to happen. With all these 16-18yos working there they probably are a bit too intimidated to tell a cut 6'6 30yo man he cannot do that. The same goes for the graffiti; if it is not handled/covered up then it will tempt more people to conduct it the same. The sight of graffiti alone is an invitation to others to partake in it. Covering it up daily/bi-daily is crucial to prevent such actions from occurring.

Maybe, but IMHO the fact that someone else did it is not an excuse for you to do it yourself.

And you are exactly correct. Sadly, the people today do not see it as that and instead use the I'm entitled mindset whether it be walking a shorter distance or I can do it because nobody told me I cannot. Reasoning for right and wrong is clearly an item of the past. Lack of parenting with today's kids, egos of adults, etc. It is very sad to see a well done flowerbed get trampled so easily.

We all know that the park is reading this and hopefully they CAN do something about an issue like this.

RE: Verbolten

Perhaps placing security at key locations around the park would be a good start. They need to have someone there that the GP will respect, not 16-18 years olds who arent going to confront an adult or thug. I think a couple of cameras in the event building are also a good idea. Simply document the offenders and remove them from the park. I feel certain that if others saw people being escorted to the gate for doing wrong the GP will get the idea.

We live in a violent world, and many people today just do as they please. It takes visible security to handle problems when they see it happening.

In WDW if guest complains about someone cutting in line security will handle the situation quickly. Me and my family were in a long line for Tower of terror one day when we saw a couple of thugs jump the line several turns behind us, they pushed their way all the way up behind me. I simply grabbed the chain and would not let them pass me and told them why they were not going to pass me and my family. Once they left the line several other guests were verbal with them. One of the problems today is that most folks are not going to stop whats going on or say anything to them to avoid the confrontation.

I love vigilante justice.

Is that vigilante justice or not letting a couple of punks push their way to the front of the line. I figure if we had to wait in that line they should as well.

Was told today to pretty much not expect video this year. They are more concerned with getting the ride running correctly and will focus on video when breakdowns and problems slack off. Also, FYI, there is a control room in the building so you will never drop unless it's safe!

RE: Verbolten

Had anyone noticed cables in the Verbolten trains before? They look like they are supposed to be for the video and I just noticed them on Sunday on the yellow train for the first time.

They really need to add fans to the Ticket Booth building. I've seen 2 people pass out in there during a shutdown.. It's so hot in there.

yeah, i have said this to several employees, which I am sure isnt doing any good. Anyone know where to send this complaint so something gets done?

RE: Verbolten

The cables probably are for on ride video, I mean what else on the train requires electrical work, other than the headlights and taillights?

RE: Verbolten

I looks like a form of network/data cable. It could be for video, sensors, etc. The possibilities are endless as far what it could be.

You have everything you said, the restraint sensors. The restraint unlock and lock things and probably some other things are in there also. But the restraint stuff is under the train of course since it's lap bars :p

RE: Verbolten

This reminds me of when i went the weekend before last I rode on the blue train and the red light on top of the camera was on when it pulled into the station it went off and when it started out of the station it turned back on. Don't know if there testing the video or not? And the cable appears to be for the camera since its leading right to it lol.

RE: Verbolten

Sometimes with the spirit setting I noticed a much slower approach to the drop track I'm guessing because it was still rising and the spirit clearly said "your lost" then once the drop track is in place it queues her normal speech.
