RE: Verbolten

Maybe now they can finally get the video cameras working. I asked an employee at the park when they were gonna work, and he said they weren't gonna try and fix them until they can get all 5 trains running.

RE: Verbolten

I was at the park today from about 5:30 to close. Verbolten was running all five trains, and I think the line does move a hair faster than before. My sister had not ridden before and liked the ride but did not like her vision fading. We rode Apollo's Chariot just as the fireworks started, which was really cool. And what was really weird? Ride before getting on the ride, the girl in front of us (about 7 or 8) peed her pants. When we told the ride op, she gave us a look like, "You have GOT to be kidding me," but almost laughing at the absurdity of it. (Mach was still down. They hope to have it up by Wednesday.)

RE: Verbolten

Yay they hope to have it up tom. Because I'm going with my friend (but if it's down it's not like we won't go again)

RE: Verbolten

^^ I was at the park today for the first time since BBW was still standing, and I can tell you why the Apollo ride op was annoyed, its because just before then a girl threw up all over the ride right after it had pulled into the station, AFTER she had ridden already.....we were lucky we made the train before her....

Anyway, I also got to ride Verbolten for the first time.

I got all three settings in as well, pretty lucky in that regard...

It's a great ride in the front row, comfortable even. But the back row was, as has been told on here, rough, mainly in the building and launching out of the building.....but we all know that story. Got to take a ride on yellow though!

It was an all around perfect day for the ride, except for the period of time when they.started cycling through empty trains, causing the line to last a lot longer than it needed to be...

Gerta is entertaining in the queue building, but when she says "lim, Lim, LIM, teeeeheeheehee!" it was a bit too loud...

Loading is very quick, and both launches are much more intense than I thought! I loved it... He drop from the bridge doesn't get to your stomach till you get the bottom and make the turn, it is actually an overall intense ending to an intense ride. I don't think its the best coaster in the park, but it does what it was put in there to do, cater to kids and thrill seekers and their families.

(Sorry if this didn't come out well grammar-wise, I'm typing on my craptastic Thunderbolt)

RE: Verbolten

Ok got back late Monday night and was busy Tuesday in Yorktown so I finally got on now to review. Verbolten was the first real steel coaster I've been on Monday Morning it was awesome, even alittle better then expected. (Later on I went on Apollo's and Griffon when i built up my nerve and loved them as well but I like the experience on Verbolten the most.) I went twice going at least 3 more times before going back home. I was excited to see all 5 trains running on Monday because I have heard on here that hasn't happened yet. I saw the spirit both times in the building and rode the red train in row 3 and the orange in row 8. Tommrow night i will try to ride row 1 when it gets dark. The back is rough kinda hurt my leg and crushed my sensetive region alittle lol both went away quickly though. Overall coaster crazy people will say this is the 3rd or 4th best coaster in the park probalby but i loved it a must ride.

I'm telling u i'm 27 and have been nervous to go on real coasters if you have been as well make this yr first.

Does anyone know if the video cameras are working yet?

I'm pretty sure there not working. They weren't gonna start working on them until all 5 trains were fully operational. There probably working on them now.

It's strange how Mach Tower had problems the first year it was open and then right across from it Verbolten has problems too.

That's like saying you didn't get ketchup on a burger this time ,when before they just defecated in between two buns. Verbolten will likely see much less downtime over its life than Mock Tower.

RE: Verbolten

rode 2 more times today and was gonna ride in the dark again but rides closed because of closing thunderstorm. but a funny thing i saw was someone put gum all over a seat in the 4th row of the green train lol. i saw 2 attendents using scrapers, spray and towels on it.

It opened back up after the fireworks, rode two times between then and closing. Last time I rode, they were loading the train with no one waiting for my row, I asked to ride again and was told no. WTH.

RE: Verbolten

Chances are, you were sitting in the front, which closes after the station clears out. You can do rerides in other rows as long as there's no line.

You may or may not be able to switch rows depending on who you ask.

Nope, sitting in row 7. no one was waiting for my seat, but the train was going to go out. The funny thing is at Sea World and BGT, especially if you are a season pass holder, they allow this regularly. Same company man!
