RE: Verbolten

Really it just depends on the ride op. I know at Kings Dominion Cedar Fair doesn't allow re-rides but some ops will let you do re-ride if there is no line and the ride isn't closed.

Nope, sitting in row 7. no one was waiting for my seat, but the train was going to go out. The funny thing is at Sea World and BGT, especially if you are a season pass holder, they allow this regularly. Same company man!

1) BGT and SWO allow it for Platinum holders.

2)Different markets, different perks.

3) How it has always been.

RE: Verbolten

The official rules are that nobody can ride more than twice in a row without exiting and going back through the entrance. It's a rule that often goes unenforced, but it's there for two main reasons that I can think of: 1. To keep an accurate capacity count and 2. Prevent people from vomiting all over the train and station.

I should also clarify that this is for all major attractions, not just Verbolten.

I can think of one more... that the ride operators told me themselves... Manufacturer Safety Rules

I rode alpengeist about 6 times without getting off during hos a couple years ago

Not trying to start a pissing contest, but I rode Nessie 17 times in row this year without being required to even get up from my seat ( I did of course stand and stretch my legs but boy was I in pain after sitting in that seat so long ;)). So I agree with the idea that it depends on how strict the ride ops decided to be or what type of mood they are in.

RE: Verbolten

It broke down twice Saturday for about 20 min each time, I don't think their has been any major break downs since adding the 5th train. About the on ride video, I asked multiple people and they had no clue when it would be ready.

I'm VERY glad to hear that only minor breakdowns are occurring at this point. Now that all trains are on the track, the computer inst confused and screwing up majorly all the time! Now once the on-ride vid comes into play, everything will be perfect! Thanks for the update redsoxfan!

RE: Verbolten

That's true about the 2 rides before you have to get off thing. During the VIP event for Verbolten we were told it was to prevent blood clots from forming in your legs. blah blah blah....... I didn't have any issues with that because there was no lines :)

Hate to be the pessimist but they are looking out for their own behinds too. The Park definitely does not want to get sued for any medical issues that arise from riding too many times. Lord knows we are a pretty Lawsuit happy culture.

With longer sustained Vert Gs on other coasters... I find that very far out there.

RE: Verbolten

So its 1:20 and I came from Alaska to visit the park and what I feared would happened has: verbolten is down. I only see three trains so Im assuming the other two are stuck in the event building.
