RE: Verbolten

Lets not forget headlights. Also, I added both of JordanFord's videos to his post. Main site post is coming soon with some pictures from Atlantis and a bit more video.

^ Yup. :D

New post is up on the main site: http://bgwfans.com/verboltens-yellow-train-lives/

For the record, I think the yellow train looks amazing.

RE: Verbolten

The yellow train is by far one of the best looking trains I've ever seen, I just wish they could get everything working now :|

I was supposed to be at the park from today until saturday, too; but money is tight with me and the family.

EDIT: Christening the yellow train "Hornet." You're welcome.

My apologies if I still call u swift :D

RE: Verbolten

Yay for yellow train! Has anyone else noticed that the Verbolten symbol hood ornaments are different on some of the trains? I believe one of the trains (maybe blue?) has a 3-D hood ornament, but the rest are just stickers. I wonder why the difference, and which is yellow's? If the 3-D one is on the blue train, then maybe it was decorated differently and might be associated with its headlights working? Has anyone else noticed this?

RE: Verbolten

Got in a night ride on Verbolten's newly "renovated" yellow train this evening... and I must say, night rides are amazingly better than day rides. Also, yellow was running great, smoother than the others; presumably from lack of use...

RE: Verbolten

I found out that the video has everything to do with the yellow train... in order to run the video cameras, they have to be running 5 trains to have the computer keep track of the cameras and match them up with the correct trains... notice I said cameras... I was told that there will be off ride cameras that will also film the riders and the computer will make a mix of on-ride and off-ride videos... as for the working headlights, I was told that they are just experimenting with them on the blue train and will make the other ones work once they can get blue's working effectively... I have yet to see the headlights work personally

So this pretty much matches up with all the initial videos we were seeing when the ride was just opening. I sort of expected this

If that's true, that's a major design flaw. Very interesting bit of information though. Thanks FAL NR OX.

Indeed, it's like I won't be able to even ride Verbolten until the camera systems are up. Such a major shortfall.

BTW, Verbolten at night yesterday was awesome.

RE: Verbolten

...

If your video system doesn't work unless all the trains are running, that's a major design flaw. In a few years, there won't be any reason to run all 5 trains most of the time. What's going to happen? They just scrap the video system?

FAL NR OX, do you know if they're making an attempt to fix the system to where it will work with less than 5 trains or are they just trying to get 5 trains running?

RE: Verbolten

To be honest, that sounds like something too huge of an oversite to be true (no offence meant to ROX). But what's the worse thing that could happen as a result if it is true? Worse thing that will happen is that you won't be able to buy video of riding it, ohnoes.

RE: Verbolten

It does seem too major of a flaw to believe but it does make sense and they probably are only caring about getting five trains running for now.

Well the guy who told me heard this on the Verbolten Insider Tour, so it came straight from the tour guide himself... and I am not saying that there is nothing wrong with the system, but they should have gotten an on-ride system that works with the ride no matter how many trains are running... now who knows, maybe they are getting a new video system never before seen and the only way they can make it work is with five trains.

RE: Verbolten

The park knows that they don't run all the trains a majority of the time. The concept that park would choose a system like that seems way too far-fetched to be true.
