It better be open Thursday! I have never seen a ride closed for the whole day as much as verbolten in my life. I mean if it was for 30 min to an hour everyday that's one thing. But for the whole day? They need to fix that

This is an interesting read about another prototype coaster with similar problems, except much worse.

That entire site is a pretty good read too. You can get some really rare construction shots dating back to the 70s, plus it's got a TON of information.

Thanks for linking to a friend of mine's site! Yeah Verbolten is starting to compare a bit to Chiller but there's one thing that sets Chiller apart from Verbolten. Chiller used faulty technology and the LIMs they got were poorly maintained. Very rarely did all the LIMs on either one of them fire when the train launched, trust me you would know when they did. They also had to basically decommission the Batman side in order to keep Robin running, by transferring working LIMs and even trading trains over when the Robin train broke in 2006 (it's still unknown exactly what caused that train to disappear but it definitely was worse than Verbolten's yellow train rumoured incident).

Trust me when I say Busch Gardens will not allow Verbolten to fall into that sort of... well I guess disrepair would be a good word.

RE: Verbolten

Apparently one of the trains is stuck inside the building again. :dodgy: How long was it up this time? Less than an hour?

RE: Verbolten

I hope it's the same problem. I wouldn't want to think there are new problems arising every hour.

Lord have mercy -__- this ride is cursed

I've talked to several veteran employees lately (30+ years) who claim that BBW went through the same thing the first year it opened. Constant breakdowns, down for days at at time, etc. They said it brought back all those memories last year during MT's delays that they were joking at the time that the area must be curse. Now this year with Verbolten...:dodgy:

RE: Verbolten

In defense of Zierer, if this problem is a computer one then its unfair to blame them. It isn't like the ride is structurally unstable or causing any confirmed harm to its riders.

Funny post on the BG FB page:
"Should call it Verbroken.". :)

Its not funny anymore, its annoying and down right immature. Especially when it is constantly used. The same joke is only good maybe twice.

In defense of smaller companies, where did big companies start from? Small ones; they got big because people bought from them. The park is giving these small companies more reputation in the industry and helping build them up. ALL prototype rides WILL face severe downtime in their first season, no doubt about it. They are basically experiments, put up a new type of ride, see if it works. They are bound to run into problems and that is to be expected at all times.

Yes it may be frustrating to us, and yes it makes the ride look bad and the park look bad but something the GP and even us enthusiasts at times may forget is, more than likely, since the ride is a prototype and very new still, it is bound to face these seemingly severe problems. I know it is painful now, but next season Verbolten should be running with smaller problems.

Also keep in mind that, park maintenance is practically writing the troubleshooting guide for the ride as problems come up so they know how to deal with them in the future. Look at Mach Tower, there are times it is down but the downtime has gotten much better and the ride actually works more often now. The first year is always the hardest.
