RE: Verbolten

Gotcha, always wanted to experience it, but I'm never up there during that part of the season. Excited though, as my buddy and I are gonna be up there this weekend. Hope to get at least one Verbolten ride in. Hope it's running. Good lawd is it gonna be hot. Wowza.

RE: Verbolten

^Party Rocker, you are correct. I for one have called it Verbroken but it does get old. I went on the insider tour and was simply astounded at everything that was computer controlled. When the ride attendant in the control box explained that once the yellow is added the ride will pretty much run by itself thru the station, including unloading, unlocking lap bars, etc. I totally understood why there have been the issues that there has been with that part of the ride. Then Ben (tour guide) explained the tolerance for the sensors in the vertical drop in the building to be set at 2mm. This is very much a prototype ride and with all the special effects and all the extra that is going on, there is going to be downtime. If I would have been there this week, I would've been bummed that it wasn't working but knew it was a possibility. I waited little over an hour last week while it was down knowing that they were doing there best with the new ride. I also was in line when Alpegeist had a "failure to launch". I also only ride AC once cause the four other times I went to ride it there was a "housekeeping issue". I know they are doing the best they can with Verbolten and they will get it right. Patience is not the GP's virtue with new rides but there are plenty of other things to do at BGW. Best thing to do is for them to download the BGWFans.com app so they can check the forums to see if Verbolten is up after downtime so they can run over to Oktoberfest and enjoy one of the best coasters I have ever ridden!

As far as the smaller ride makers, yes in one sense having an Intamin or B&M would be nice there but (correct me if I am wrong) I do not believe they have this type of technology in their arsenal either so it would be prototype for them as well with similar growing pains with sensors and tolerances, etc. Computer issues well...its computers we are talking about so that explains itself.

Verbolten is open!

At about noon Wednesday: Is the webcam operational for anybody? I see the opening gray-blue spash screen with the image of the dark forest and the red car, but that is all.

It seems to be working for me.

BTW: I see they have switched to the instrumental audio for the bridge.

Its not funny anymore, its annoying and down
right immature. Especially when it is constantly
used. The same joke is only good maybe twice.

Sorry about that party rocker. The term was new to me. Moving forward I'll be sure to do more research before attempting to lighten the mood on this forum with a little humor. Maybe I could run future posts by you for approval...

RE: Verbolten

^you just have to learn to deal with people like that on this website. Don't let it get to you.

After so many breakdowns they should have a manual for this written by now! Going this weekend and next and it better be open!
