RE: Verbolten

Well, if they pulled the shirt, what are they going to do about the fact that they use the same image for the "Spirit" sequence? Just ignor it because it isn't on long enough for anyone to realize they are the same? Turn off the element all-together and change it when the park goes back to weekend operations? I know none of us will have a deffinitive answer to this question, but it will be interesting to see what happens...

It actually isn't the same face. I got a screen shot of it and it isn't the same totally different design.

RE: Verbolten

The face IS the same. The surrounding branches were tweaked in the ride imagery. My guess would be to try and bypass copyright infringement. It would seem that that was a bust.

RE: Verbolten

Thanks for posting the two images. Seeing them side by side, you can tell they are based on the same concept, but certainly not identical. While we're on the topic of I.P. similarities, has it been discussed how similar the Verbolten logo is to the Nerf N-Strike logo? I think about Verbolten every time I pass through the toy isle at my local Walmart and see that logo!

RE: Verbolten

I believe the n-strike is a shield with a lightning bolt in it and verbolten's is a fancy V with a lightning bolt in it, not a shield

RE: Verbolten

Here's a picture of the waterfall that I took yesterday.

EDIT: Sorry that it's sideways, not sure how that happened lol.

RE: Verbolten

So saturday after getting off THE Verbolten (I know sum people HATE that), we went to the place where you can view and purchase videos. The dude said that it is not completely ready yet. He said they focused on getting the ride itself ready for the opening and held off on the on-ride camera system. He told me that by next week, it should be up and running. He also said that inside the building, the video will be night vision, and during the drop segment, the video will run at 120 fps.

RE: Verbolten

If the word "The" is not listed on the ride's sign, it is clearly not meant to be part of the name. I think adding "The" to the front of an attraction that doesn't have it in the name degrades the ride's name a bit and sounds almost as bad as calling it something completely unrelated. I get very upset when the GP does this and it they do it so often. I love when people use the name as its meant to be.

Moving forward, when someone buys a on ride video, they should post it here to give us an idea of what it looks like. I will give rep.

RE: Verbolten

"Two weeks" ;)

Hopefully he's right. After week-long operations start (next week) it'll be much more difficult to get it running.

Well it's Better than nothing, it could be easily fixed though. Maybe the water pressure isn't as strong. And if u look at the 2nd pipe to the right, water isn't even coming out of it

RE: Verbolten

It isn't a very long commercial but I saw it watching American idol last week and think it would really catch viewers attention.
