RE: Verbolten

Well, then what kind of unexpected weather can we expect? I was thinking a thunderstorm effect like the one used during the Sesame Street show, surround sound, strobe lights, and a spray of water from above.

As for a major peak, I really think a visual effect is what he is referring too. Has anybody found out what a moon box is, maybe that is the key???

RE: Verbolten

You cannot spray water in the building. There are no drains in the building, so the water would just gather on the ground. Also, it would probably interfere with the electronics of the effects.

True Free-fall like V's... BTW, th13teen's drop is powered pneumatically

Just a quick point, this is not true. Thirteen's drop is a genuine freefall. Intamin's version is very different to Zierer's but both systems are gravity powered freefall drops.

:)

If it free falls, how does it have multiple drops in the 1 track section?

Thanks to Gavin for providing a cool video.

To answer this question for everyone. They use hydraulics to pull this off on Thirteen. Verbolden will use magnets to slow the drop of the track itself.

RE: Verbolten

^Then that explains why i saw an animation of the drop and it had 2 hydraulic pistons between the track and the floor

That wasn't an official animation; in the video, he says there is only one piston in the center.

You guys thanked Gavin for the video, but you clearly weren't paying attention to it...

RE: Verbolten

Busch Gardens had now released Verbolten on the Park Map, it's located on the app update today. If someone can grab a screen shot and post it! (My iPhone won't let me)

Thanks for the heads up. I grabbed a couple screen shots off the android version. (terrible app btw)

Edit: Also added a screen shot from the Verbolten page in the app. Pretty much sums up how bad the app looks.
