Larry Giles actually stated that the drop was ten feet taller than the Wolf's- not twenty as PR stated via Twitter.

He also said on a video that with that 10 feet, you are about an additional 10 feet if you consider the whole above the track/below the track thing

Oh, and if you can't do the math yourself, 10+10=20

RE: Verbolten

According to Larry on the hht, track is 10ft taller, and because you are above track (rather than below) your eye line is another 10.

Wow, those must be some really tall trains then.

Haha, no. Larry is right. The arrow suspended coasters put you a lot lower below the track than the inverts of today.

RE: Verbolten

But seat hight has no effect on drop height. If you start the drop 10ft higher you're ending it 10ft higher too. Verbolten's total drop is just under 88ft. The Wolf's total drop was (according to RCDB) 80ft. Hence, Verbolten's drop is 8ft taller than the Wolf's. 10ft in close enough for marketing purposes, but it's not 20ft.

RE: Verbolten

No, BGW's Twitter claimed that "you'll take a drop that's 20 feet taller".

@the_swiftman You'll take a drop that's 20 feet taller, not the drop is 20 feet taller. 10 feet taller drop & 10 for being ontop of track.

You know what would improve the final bridge a lot would be to add audio. If you put in sounds of the bridge breaking, it might focus the riders' pov of the drop, making them think more about the bridge breaking than the drop itself, therefore increasing the surprise factor of the drop, which is, after all, what this ride is trying to accomplish. The sounds could be creaking or like a breaking noise. It would be a cool touch in my opinion.

I'm curious about the bridge as well. I see the bridge as the final gateway to safety......but....the bridge is out. You slam on the brakes (guessing there will be "braking" sounds), but there is just too much momentum and you go all Thelma and Louise over the edge. But of course you survive this time......

It's going to be awesome coming over the Italy-Germany bridge and seeing Verbolten where BBW was.

Marketing is different from Engineering. One builds one thing, the other exaggerates it to entice you. I wouldn't think too much of it.
