RE: Verbolten

Hey guys, according to ScreamScape, CoasterCommunity.com posted the train picture....not us. Yarg...

http://screamscape.com/html/busch_gardens_williamsburg.htm

RE: Verbolten

Whoever took that picture should email Screamscape and let them know it was one of our guys!

RE: Verbolten

Well, whoever did take the pic first, they gave us a nice template of what is to be expected of the look of these cars; sleek, innovative, and with nice paint jobs. One thing I think went unnoticed in the thread after the pic was released was the sweet tires under the front of the car. It really brings out the "sports car" theme of these trains. The real wheels look nice too.

RE: Verbolten

Let's hope that V does not go the way of TTD at Cedar Point and get it's car's theming undone to add seats

RE: Verbolten

^Well, considering they have 5 trains that hold 16 people each, I doubt they will need to do that. The cars look amazing though!

Did anyone see this post Busch put out on their FB page?

Did you know … the Black Forest was the setting of the popular fairy tale Hansel and Gretel?

Interesting... I wonder if they are going to try to tie that in at all.

RE: Verbolten

I think that is just something to keep the public in the loop but not really. Just a distraction for the GP until any real info can be released.

RE: Verbolten

Okay, I get what you mean now. So the Hansel and Gretel thing is a hint to the new show in the Festhaus NOT Verbolten, which will not be named Roll Out the Barrel since the trademark has been killed.

Also, The park added a new Quick Queue Pass this year. There is Quick Queue (1 time ride on all major rides except Verbolten). There is Quick Queue Unlimited 1 (Unlimited rides on all major attractions except Verbolten). Then there is Quick Queue 2 (Unlimited rides on a ll major attractions plus 1 time ride on Verbolten). Looks like Quick Queue lovers aren't going to be able to skip the line for Verbolten too easily this year. I think the park knows if they offer unlimited Quick Queue for Verbolten, the Quick Queue line will be longer than the regular queue line. Plus, think of all the themeing you will miss in the regular queue line they worked so hard on :p

No it wasn't. Somebody tried to post it on their Faceook page and it got deleted within minutes

RE: Verbolten

^ Yeah, i'm kinda confused about that too..

Also, Busch said that the 5 cars will look like a classic European Roadster. A obviously being singular. Looks like they might not be all the different.

RE: Verbolten

No I meant what was deleted within minutes. But I am also curious why they said it singular and not plural. It could be a blunder. Don't we have a picture of the red and orange trains? Can we compare the two?

RE: Verbolten

About the Hansel and Gretel thing, I think we might see a reference to it in the queue (possibly a newspaper clipping involving two kids going missing in the Black Forest in a frame on the wall), but that's it. I don't think a fairy tale will actually be used in the ride, but that brings up another subject.

The gnomes in the teaser video. Was that just a joke??? I think the GP will be confused enough as is (Unless they're like my mom. I asked both of my GP parents if they cared about ride theming, and my dad said no but my mom said yes, and I've seen members of the GP at parks who were looking at theming. Contrary to belief, the GP does sometimes care about the theming, but most of the time they don't.) so I bet adding random lawn gnomes yelling "WHEEE!!!" will just confuse them more.

Honestly, I can see them adding the Gnomes in a Despicable Me 'minions' kind of way to sell merchandise. Make them funny and adorable and you will be pushing product with them on it. That is, if they're actually on the ride and not just a joke.

Back on the topic of theming, if you were to announce The Nassal Company's involvement, then I'd be excited.
