This back and forth is sadly comical. Physics eludes every one of you.

Physics is hard, or at least it is very hard for a lot of people, so you can't blame people for not being able to understand or comprehend it.
The back and forth of the thread is just something to pass time along concerning the ride, while the park tries to leave us in the dark these few months of the year.

As far as special effects go so basically so far we have strobe lights and black lights. What other effects do we know of that will make this ride worth repeated rides?

I wouldn't be surprised if we see some fog or mist in there

RE: Verbolten

There is definitely some sort of mist, fog. There is a special system for the fire alarm system that can differentiate between smoke, fog, mist, ect.

RE: Verbolten

I still have a hard time believing that the first launch is 50+ mph... That just seems too fast to see the painter's work in the building... Maybe Larry Giles misspoke... GASP!!!

RE: Verbolten

Strobe lights, Black Lights, and Fog? Man, there better be something better than this. There should be some dramatic lighting in here or something. If this thing can't top FOF we have a problem.

you'll just have to reride to see it all. I know I didn't see everything the first time I went on the mummy or RNR.

RE: Verbolten

I heard a few little rumors about special effects, one being wind. I am sure they can go the EITA route with nice big fans to give you a windy, stormy ride. Also, I have a feeling your going to get wet.

RE: Verbolten

I think the light box is the biggest special effects mystery. I am thinking it could be special theatrical lighting, or a box that all the light are hooked up to that control them. I know at school, they have the light board where all the controls for the stage lights is called the light box.

RE: Verbolten

I meant with the fans blowing in your face to create a wind effect. One of the very few okay things about EITA, and I mean very few.

RE: Verbolten

I've never heard of a lighting console referred to as a light box....perhaps a light box is an effect holder

I agree that a light box is box with a light in it or it game be someone's term for the main DMX lighting controller.

I think, all the lighting that in the event building will be more in likely be DMX controlled and be running a multiple show programs with multiple trigger (proximity or photoeye) points, which are controlled from the main DMX controller. What this means is, that the first trigger point will run a DMX show program for those DMX controlled lights that are in the area of the trigger.

RE: Verbolten

wait.......weren't the walls of Verbolten painted with a speical glow in the dark paint?
