RE: Verbolten

I noticed that too. Those holes are more in likely the holes for the air handlers or fans to bring in fresh air into the event building. There should be also exhaust fans on the roof to exhaust some of the heat that will be in the event building.

RE: Verbolten

Hmm, I take it that EitA is AC as well? That is kind of concerning, but let's just hope the train never gets stuck during the summer.

RE: Verbolten

The condensed water from the AC from DarKastle is used to water the plants in the park, as well as condensed water from other locations, but it would make sense not to have AC in the event building, after all you are not spending forever in there, plus most the coasters there are not climate controlled, so it wouldn't be any different.

DarKastle has central air.
DarKastle is totally indoors and that's why you need a HVAC system, since you have heat build up due to many factors like ride equipment (cars), projectors and body heat from the guests themselves. All these factors are included into a design of all HVAC systems.

Can't tell if agreeing with me or not...

But yeah, central air is a component of HVAC.

Also, Verbolten will definitely be opening in May.

RE: Verbolten

I agree with everyone.

But, the goal with some of my posts is to bring my knowledge of the mechanical and electrical of these rides and buildings when talking about this type of things, since I was a former full-time park electrician for Six Flags America.

I honestly thought Spring Break because they are opening an hour early.

I think the 9am opening has more to do with accommodating families. It's a good idea.

Well, I thought if you were opening a major ride and planned to open an hour early, it would help accommodate crowds for that major ride.

RE: Verbolten

^Well, it COULD, but apparently they aren't doing it for that reason. It could be a number of different reasons. That's kinda depressing though that its not opening for another 4 months.

RE: Verbolten

How is the 1st launch going to be? Will It look like your launching into a large building or is it like a tunnel that leads into the building?
