RE: Verbolten

if they advertise now its going to build the hype of everyone. The more they show and reveal the more its going to drive everyone crazy and to go to the park and it takes time to do that. The start is a website I305 had a website even though it wasn't updated there was a webcam rarely updates constructions photos and also renderings photos and videos

RE: Verbolten

Yeah, BG's marketing department: "Hey guys, I have a REALLY good idea! Lets make three videos, make QR codes to them, post them every once in a while, then compile them in the long run. Oh yeah, and let's re-release it 6 times to really get people into it!"

This is exactly what's going on. Most of the major enthusiast sites think this is new. Why? Because they're just now even saying anything about their pointless video that should have been released months ago. Why wasn't this shown at the announcement?! First we had the teaser announcement in 2010 where they said they were adding a multi-launch coaster and that they'd be releasing things about it slowly as we get closer to 2012. Nothing is said. Then we get the awful "announcement" that was basically just them pulling a sheet off of a big metal logo and telling everyone what the name was. Now, about 2 months from the park's opening, we're seeing a teaser video, there still isn't a website, there's still hardly any information about the ride on the park's main site, there's no media hype, no construction updates, nothing. I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but what on earth is wrong with their marketing department?! Did they lay everyone off over the off-season?

RE: Verbolten

It's really funny to see the reaction comments on YouTube to the video...

I'm guessing that the part closest to the Rhine River is where part of the indoor cuts off, making you feel like you're falling off a cliff. :)
YESSSSS!!!!! Cant wait til May!!

I just find it hilarious that people think this is new and the fact that they are so blind to what is going on. At least it will probably show BG that they really sucked at the whole QR thing. They might re-release the other (construction) videos on their YouTube page.

RE: Verbolten

They should have never made the videos unlisted on utube... I think that if they had uploaded the videos normally, so many more people would know about verbolten

just found this... this may explain our marketing problems... lets hope they pick a good person soon!

RE: Verbolten

By the way, I might be able to get more info on why the marketing team is so bad at Busch now... I know someone who was a director in the marketing department until about early 2010.

RE: Verbolten

Interesting Verbolten price facts: Verbolten ($54 Million) = 21.6 Mach Towers or 9 Curse of Dark Castles or 5.45 Griffons or 27 Roman Rapids or 7.3 Apollos Chariots. Verbolten price based on previously stated info, other attractions prices based on Henderson's value of the rides (http://www.hendersoninc.com/portfolio/entertainment )

EDIT: None of this is actually right, it has to do with the amount the contractor received to build the attractions (or something like that). I guess we'll just see the comparison once they post Verbolten data.

RE: Verbolten

Now we will know rest of the marketing story.
^ I read that with a Russian accent; it made me lol. :D

Anyways, I'm sure they have taken construction footage/pictures, but for some reason they aren't releasing it anywhere. We got more construction updates for the freaking pretzel store than we have for Verbolten!

RE: Verbolten

^^Well, based on the fact that it is in the same area as Verbolten (having much more constraints with building due to crammed space, thus (most likely) raising the build price), i'd THINK it might be possibly a third or less of the cost of Verbolten. Obviously it had less technology and theming so the price was significantly lower for that.

RE: Verbolten

Kingadam, I don't think the prices from Henderson's site include everything. RCDB has Griffon listed at $15.6 million.
