Legoland Billund posted a video of their new coaster. It is made by Zierer and features a drop section as well.... but it is a horrible video. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150480546132943

And i thought parks using nolimits was bad!

RE: Verbolten

The site has been update! They combined all three videos from the QR code and posted them on the Verbolten page so now you can watch from start to finish!

Check out the Verbolten page here: http://buschgardens.com/Bgw/Explore/Rides.aspx?id=2170

RE: Verbolten

^ Thanks for the link.

The production value of these teasers is really, really high. The sad thing? No one is going to see them. Flashy, expensive videos are nice, but they don't do an ounce of good if no one knows anything about the coaster.

RE: Verbolten

Sure, anytime! Those videos really do look cool, and I actually like some of the music and sound used in them. They really would help promote the coaster, if only the park used it in the right way.

BTW, does anyone else get the feeling that their picture reminds you of a movie poster?

RE: Verbolten

I think that the park should use that video as a commercial for their new ride. If they air it on TV that would definitely be a start. That, and maybe use those promotional things (the ones with the B&M invert track) as something to put on local billboards, but get rid of the invert track. They have a lot of the stuff needed to promote the ride, they just need to use it.

If they wanted to go all out with marketing, they could probably do a lot with just a little. The ride is themed to a car ride, so maybe get an antique German sports car and put magnetic QR codes on the sides or hood that lead to the webpage. From there all they would have to do is find somebody to drive it around and leave it parked in certain places. I also seem to recall somebody mentioning getting BMW to sponsor the ride. They could probably do a lot with this, too.

Just a few thoughts I had...

RE: Verbolten

Does anyone think the "Reason" numbers have any significance? Or just some random numbers?

RE: Verbolten

Getting a German car company to advertise for it is just what I was thinking... MI: ghost protocol did this

RE: Verbolten

Sudden weather changes - Make sure to pack for rain on your trip through the Black Forest! Ponchos are always in style, I assume there will be some water effect?

I honestly have to say, I am more interested in the clues left in the videos. I am sure there could be some reasoning with the numbers, otherwise they could have just gone 1, 2, 3, 4, but they didn't which makes all the difference.

I want to see how lighting could perhaps play a role in this ride as well as far as special effects go, then there is the falling rocks? Slippery roads? Wolves? Gnomes? They sure do have something special planned!

RE: Verbolten

I am not sure how a Manta style water effect would look on this coaster, but I bet it would be pretty neat to watch from the bridge. But then again passing Rhine River Cruises might get soaked depending on where the water would shoot...

RE: Verbolten

I just thought of something! Right as you plunge into the Rhine River full of rocks off a cliff/bridge water sprays in your face as you dive into the water. Interesting, I wonder what effects awaits riders?

The numbers are:

43
79
93

Special Effects may include:

Rapid weather changes
Falling tree
Slippery roads
Gnomes!!!
Sudden changes to road surfaces
Falling rocks
Wolves
Bats/Crows perhaps?
The unexpected
Attacking foliage?
and of course, driving at high speeds off a cliff/bridge into the Rhine River where there is death to await you.

Any ideas how any of that maybe accomplished?

RE: Verbolten

Does anyone remember what the planned opening date was on the leaked build schedule? I think the numbers might have to do with that, but I'm not 100% sure.

RE: Verbolten

Well, I figured that originally, but I could have sworn I saw a different, more specific date on the leaked timeline (the full PDF that was redacted).
