Black track on green supports? Man that'll look cool! I expect this coaster to look pretty menacing with the bridge and the color scheme.

It's not going to happen... Painting a coaster is an undertaking in itself. It's staying how it is.

RE: Verbolten

I've heard it is being painted mauve with chartreuse supports and being renamed Susie.

Like the drop the Rhine track? That doesn't make since why it didn't come black.

Can swift confirm or deny this? I can't believe it.

I've heard nothing about this one way or the other but, at least from my standpoint, it sounds like a ridiculous rumor. If they wanted it black, they would have painted it black in the first place. The time, work, and cash required to repaint the coaster after it's been built would be a massive (and pointless) waste. Also, taking the time to repaint the whole ride would set back testing by a ton. It makes zero sense. For the sake of argument though, the park has waisted more time and money on other things in the past...

RE: Verbolten

Guys it is grey with green supports. As much as black with green supports would look cool, the probability of it happening is not likely.

The park may have said, let's throw people off and have them think it will be grey then change it at the last minute. But honestly, why? Just to fool people? I doubt it.

With that said the park has wasted money other useless things like for example,

Illuminights - Not really the biggest waste, it can be entertaining, but still is a waste.

Mach Tower - This ride is almost pointless, it's delayed opening is what really is the money waster though.

Oktoberfest Renovation - All those stupid cartoon colors, such a waste.

Pumpkin Ratings - Never worked, not too much of the GP actually noticed it until it was gone.

New Costume Shirts - The ones in Germany at least look too amusement park like and distract the whole theme, waste right there.

Any more I am forgetting?

RE: Verbolten

You forgot the spare parts for the rides. They hardly ever break, why order spare parts so much? That money could be spent on more Dyson Air Blades. Waste.

And yes, it was Busch's plan all along to fool everyone into thinking the ride was grey. They sure had me fooled. Imagine the looks on the general public's faces when they see a black coaster next spring. Oh wait, the general public don't care about the color scheme; in fact, I don't think most of them even know about Verbolten at all.

Honestly, why are we talking about this? The ride is grey and probably will be until people start complaining about how its vibrance hurts their eyes.

We can think of this way. It would fit into the landscape. lol

RE: Verbolten

Now just why would they paint it black? That would delay testing and opening for sure... by a lot. Grey track is fine guys, sure black would be cool, but its just not gonna happen. END OF STORY.

Opening date will be sometime in May. Probably Memorial Day.

I really thought I heard up here that they're actually shooting for opening day. Did that change?

EDIT: In zoomy's tentative schedule, they had startup and testing slated for the second week of february. IF it all goes well, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to open up opening day.

RE: Verbolten

I heard that it would be making a push for opening day as well. If the testing went off without a hitch, then they could get all the themeing done in time for opening.
