RE: Verbolten

In so far as the rolling off the track goes, i'm sure they will have a extra segment of track past the drop track (level with the max height of the track) that has a stopper (like the ones in the maintenance bays to keep the cars rolling off). Same thing with when the car is at the bottom extreme, just in the back, below the brake run before the drop segment.

As for the theming, it looks like they are putting WAY more effort into it in Verbolten then ever before. If you think about it, the queues for the other coasters are pretty lame and bland compared to Verbolten. It really gives you something to look at when you are stuck in the huge lines opening day (haha, that's a joke - no one will know about it...). Its a lot like Flight of Fear at KD with the queue theming. In addition, the event building is going to have extremely tight spaces with themed velours, quick turns, extreme banks, and a drop segment; what more could you ask for? Plus its a terrain coaster; that's just the icing on the cake.

Oh, and on the note of Flight of Fear, Verbolten's building looks 100 times better than the building for FoF, even without theming. FoF's building sticks out like a sore thumb against the trees.

Do we know why Busch Gardens took that video down? I just tried to watch again to see what I would need to download for my RCT3 recreation and it was removed. That's really odd...

I doubt it. When your moving at 30-40 miles an hour in tight confined spaces you dont need all to beas detailed as you do when people will actually be walking through the attraction. The fact they are actually going that detailed with the queue tells us something. And at least a good chunk of change of the budget had to be pumped into themeing.

I should have said that better.... What I meant is: I think the queue theming looks awesome, while the actualy theming during the ride looks odd and tacky.

RE: Verbolten

Here is something I found... They have worked with Busch to build MT, AC, Griffon, DK, and trappers smokehouse... I think they are working on Verbolten too... Here is their site... www.hendersoninc.com/

Just found this too... I wonder how 6th graders get to see verbolten up close and we can't! www.hendersoninc.com/blog/henderson-hosts-corporate-landing-middle-school-busch-gardens

RE: Verbolten

^I believe Henderson is doing everything construction at Busch now. They are the top contracting company in the area, by far.

RE: Verbolten

henderson is old news...they are the main contractor...many specialty companies are on site..

RE: Verbolten

We'd like another update on the main site if anyone would be willing to provide pictures...

By the way, this is always true. If you have pictures of reasonable quality (more than likely, your dumb phone pictures aren't going to cut it unless it's something really special) and want them posted to the main site, just PM me.

RE: Verbolten

I don't have pictures, but construction has really picked up. The track is all the way to the top spot where the bridge will be.

Were they working while you were there? And how tall did it look?

On a side note: You know that music from the construction updates? I think it's actually the theme from a movie called "Gone in 60 Seconds," if any of you have seen it. Anybody else notice this?

EDIT: So it's not really stolen, but the riffs at the beginning are pretty much the same. Compare this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDkdEbWVpbk&feature=bf_next&list=PLDF25DDF6DBA3D83D&lf=mh_lolz) to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wybt_-Z8chw). They're pretty similar.
