RE: Verbolten

I thought that was sarcastic enough, including smiley, to indicate it's not serious. If you said that yourself, I apologize.

Lets just hope this SFX building isnt "Dollar Store" quality....

Hmm.... like MT?

This should probably be in the MT thread but. No. Mach Tower is a great ride and the only Dollar Store quality part of MT is the seats that hurt my back and the fact that I can barely fit my arms between the restraint.

RE: Verbolten

So looking at the track in the event building, it seems that there will be 2 places where the train will either stop or slow down considerably. So my question is, with all the news about effects and things in the building, how long do you think the riders will even be in there? Heres how I imagine it being broken down:

I know upon entering the building, the train will be traveling in access of 50 mph, speed through a highly banked (88 degrees) curve, hit a helix, then reach the 1st block section in the building. One one thousand, two one thousand, then get launched again (?) down a small dip and around to the straight section of track that ends in the drop track. I know it will probably spend a few moments here in this area...

So with a ride time of 3+ minutes total, how much time can we anticipate inside the building?

RE: Verbolten

^I agree with the launch inside the building at the intermediate brake run theory. It looks like there are electromagnetic launch fins on the brake run (as seen in the pictures), and I thought originally there were supposed to be three launches during the coaster.

Side note: I apologize if I offended anyone with the MT joke, I just didn't think the sound effects were too good, considering the fact that I was told by an employee that they were having troubles with the electrical interference with the sound at the top (sorry for the MT rant in the Verbolten thread, i'll get off of that topic). Also, @studiopzp, i'm sorry about the "totally uncalled for" comment, I didn't realize your comment was sarcastic. If I would have realized that, I wouldn't have said anything :p I overlooked the smiley at the end.

RE: Verbolten

On Saturday while riding the train, over to the left when passing the construction site, it looked as if there was some track being stored behind the fence over there. Looked like shiny steel, save V shape track as the black track for inside the building.

Looks like we may be getting a silver coaster.

RE: Verbolten

Now THAT is going to be one smooth, fluid ride. I can't wait to hear the sound of that launch :)

BTW a train station around there is a great idea IMO, although it may be a challenging addition due to the grade of the hill and clearing etc., it would be a welcome stop for the area which could make access to Verbolten a lot easier, espcially since it's quite a walk from the Caribou Station.

RE: Verbolten

Swift, could we possibly see some more details about the bridge area this week? I believe that is the next section they are working on.

RE: Verbolten

I honestly don't remember what's out there anymore. I can release everything we have on the bridge but it'll probably be mostly repeats of things you've already seen. On the positive side, I should be able to release much higher resolution versions than we have so far. Will that work?

RE: Verbolten

That sharp turn you take right after it launches you into the even building looks like it will have alot of g's.

RE: Verbolten

So it would seem that we hardly released anything about the bridge and that we have more on the bridge than almost any other part of this coaster. There will be a whole ton of pictures posted here pretty soon.
