I find it funny how everyone thought that one person took and posted those pics of track... He just did a screenshot from the video, and his name is watermarked on the photos earlier in the thread.

I caught on to that, you'll notice the pictures have been changed and that user has been banned. It was the same user that posted the fake Verbolten logo and images. He obviously has a hard time telling the truth, don't know why.

RE: Verbolten

Black track inside of the event building is a good idea considering this should be a pretty dark sequence, should give a great impression of a dark road or that the cars are blindly driving through the forest. The other concept art shows green track outside of the building, which for a family ride, would go pretty well and look appealing especially as it plunges for the Rhine. All black would be a decently cool concept as well, but repainting will have to be somewhat frequent considering our typically sunny summers.

BTW, I chuckled a bit in the teaser video when Giles opened the door to the dust wall near one of the forest renderings, now we all know where to enter for sneak peeks/definite banning from the park ;)

Kudos to BG for swift progress on that drop sequence, looks terrific.

RE: Verbolten

I don't understand the idea that black track fades faster than any other color and even if that was the case, it still works with the theme. Roads start off black but start to grey over time. If the track isn't black it's not because it would fade faster, it's because whoever made that choice didn't think the theme through.

In hindsight, I think you are correct. I guess the idea is that if the track is a shiny black, that it will lose its sheen faster than a lighter color because of the heat it conducts, being so dark, but I think it would look very cool to see black track with the red car body (a reversal of BBW's general color scheme).

RE: Verbolten

I recall someone mentioning that we should plant our own QR codes in the park... See where these lead

RE: Verbolten

I saw the drop section not tarped this past Saturday from the Rhine River Cruise. there are some good angles of the construction from down there.

RE: Verbolten

Ok Swift and Chris, question. Looking at the blueprints, does the track drop, and then immediately launch? Or is there a drop, then the train moving forward slowly off of the drop segment, THEN launch?

I ask because Im wondering if, when the the train first stops over the drop section, are the LSM (LIM?) magnets on that segment of track (on the drop segment), or are they on the section of track after the drop? Just a random question.

It drops then moves onto the launch segment.

Ok thanks. That being the case, it seems that the launch will be outside the building. I was looking at the plans, and it appears that the drop section is right smack dab up against the wall of the building. So I cant see any room inside the building for the train to roll off of the drop track. That right?

RE: Verbolten

There is a small drop down to the launch segment, the drop is enclosed by a section that comes out from the building, the launch is outside.

RE: Verbolten

I wonder why Busch would feel the need to tell the Commission that the launch would be inside. For what reason would the JCC prefer it to be inside?

Most likely something related to noise, I would think.

RE: Verbolten

We all know that the launch was told to be inside to satisfy Kingsmill residents who felt that an outdoor launch may be as loud, if not louder than Mean Streak @ CP.

Heck, I bet they were worried about Pet Shenanigans being too boisterous.

RE: Verbolten

Didn't show tunnels entering and exiting the building where the actual launches are? This would technically make them "inside."

The tunnels only come out a little bit from the building, the actual launches are outside.

RE: Verbolten

I really dont know much about this ride, but it just looks like its not going to be as good as cheeta hunt..

RE: Verbolten

It's definitely gonna pummel it in the themeing department. Not too sure about thrill but in themeing it blows Cheetah Hunt away.
