And there it is, Verbolten will not be opening at the start of the season.

Verbolten will have a total of five trains, each a different color and with a different theme...

Interesting...

RE: Verbolten

I have to say, we've been bummed with the lack of construction updates. But this is a very, very nice update.

RE: Verbolten

Wow, I take a lunch break, a quick nap, and EVERYTHING comes out of nowhere! I feel like I've missed a week of updates! I do have to admit, good update from Busch. Guessing that was technically the park's media day for Verbolten?

Don't know if anyone noticed this... but the fact sheet on the Press Release site for Verbolten says the duration of the ride is going to be 90 seconds... That's a lot different than the 3 minutes 25 seconds on the first one that is still on the first page of this thread. Original & new

Haha, I have slow fingers! Thanks for the link love!
Seriously looking forward to this ride and I'm hoping it will be open when we come up in July. I still haven't been on Mach Tower yet! :p

Hehe The info came up in my newsfeed on Facebook and went straight here with it.

Late Spring opening sounds like Memorial Day weekend. Definitely not what the park initially announced.

Anyone else think this all sounds a bit like Mach Tower...?

too early to get paranoid :)

So much design, fabrication and synching going into this ride. There is going to be a lot of kinks to work out. It would be difficult to pin point a specific date this early.

**Also**
Mach Tower is the exception, not the rule when it comes to BGW coming through on getting a ride ready for a season.

Does anybody know the name of the guy talking in the video?
I'd also say that the background might be a hint to what their new website is going to look like.

Something is up with this site, as it's not the parks.

http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?Domain=BUSCHGARDENSNEWS.COM

Scott K. Brown Photography Inc is listed as the Register of the domain name, and they "claim" to have done photographic work for the park on their website http://www.skbphoto.com/clients.htm. Everything about the site's details, from the name servers to the way it's registered compared to other SeaWorld domains suggests to me that the site is a fake.

EDIT: As for the parks new site, it's up here. http://seaworldparks.com/buschgardens-williamsburg

RE: Verbolten

When is the park's new site going live? Google searches still yield the old website.

Oh, and on this new website in the press release
http://seaworldparks.com/en/buschgardens-williamsburg/Media-Room/Press-Releases/01_2012/Busch-Gardens-Installs
it specifically directs media to the buschgardensnews page. Perhaps the assembly of that page was delegated to the Scott Brown people since they took the video and images? It is a little strange.

Exciting to see the building with the track going in and out! Obviously, they still aren't showing the drop track though. Looks like the framework for the new station is almost done (and probably is by now) and work is progressing on the "themed bridge"

I have to say, the one thing I don't like is the size of those footers down by the Rhine. They are just so huge and contrast with the track. I hope they paint them green or brown or something.

It's good to see that someone is taking photos of the construction and don't care if the park PR department does it or outside company is doing the work. These photos look like the real deal and wouldn't think someone would fake them. Why would the park or someone else fake the big day that iron workers and the park waiting is for, which the final piece of track.

RE: Verbolten

The pictures look really nice actually, I suppose they were waiting to complete the track, perhaps now we can see some awesome updates to come! *Crosses fingers* :)

RE: Verbolten

guys check out the behind the thrills coverage of verbolten. The track is looking nice and it also gives a good amount of pictures. http://behindthethrills.com/2012/01/busch-gardens-williamsburg-installs-final-piece-of-verbolten-track/
