RE: Verbolten

Wouldn't it be nice if it was positioned to see a perfect fireworks view and the mic was replaced and you can hear the actual illuminights music that goes with them?

After the second drop, we sort of just sat in the building for a few seconds with a car muffler sound going, then the train started moving.

I've noticed that it does that a lot now. It just has to do with cars clearing certain sensors on the track. When they were only running 3 cars one time there was no delay after the drop.

For those who haven't seen yet, the web cam was relocated! It was relocated to Verbolten's bridge. So now you can watch the back of the train as it "falls off" of the bridge!Today they are running: blue, orange, red, and green. In that exact order from what the web ca shows. You also get to hear awesome bridge sound effects instead of the Illuminights music.

RE: Verbolten

After being able to ride Verbolten 3x yesterday, I feel like I can finally give my opinion on it.

Only had to wait about 15-30 minutes yesterday for any lane, even the front. We ended up on the orange train every time we rode it though (yellow is still in the maintenance building, but didn't have water dummies in it anymore from what I could see). In the event building, we had the wolf twice and the thunderstorm once, with the wolf being my favorite of those two. I think the launches and the drop inside the building are definitely a big highlight, given that no other roller coaster in the park has anything like that. My one complaint is the vibrating the whole time. It's not that it's really "rough," but I just find it kind of annoying to feel like I'm shaking the whole time. The head whipping also can be kind of uncomfortable, at least for me, no matter how far back I kept my head (it seemed to actually be worse if I tried to keep it completely back). But overall, I think it definitely did fill the family roller coaster void that the BBW left and I'll definitely be riding it again when I get the chance.

Can someone tell me of there is a green light shining on the final drop of Verbolten at night?

There is a light highlighting verboltens final drop like griffons first drop but dimmer.

I might be wrong, but last year when I went they had a dim green light shining over there and if you were walking toward Italy on the bridge the light was on the right side.

RE: Verbolten

False alarm. I saw it in the station about ten minutes before it opened. So it was running with 5 trains before they opened.

Unless it is car specific, I think you've got to be the only one that has never noticed it. I've been reading everyone's posts on this topic and finally got to ride on the 4th. We rode in the Blue Car. Coming out of station I didn't notice anything but a few times in the building I felt some "vibrating". But the worse part was the dip and launch out of the building.

Even though I was ready for it I still slammed my head on the headrest on the 2nd launch. We were in the next to last row. The sheer physics of the small dip before the launch makes your head go forward some but then suddenly the launch happens and your head slams backward. Now maybe the 2nd, 3rd, etc... times I ride I'll be extra aware and ready.

And the run up to the bridge was where I felt the worst vibrating. It wasn't a body shaking type vibration, it was one of those that jars your insides. Like afterwards your head/teeth hurt. Hope that makes sense. I mean at some points it felt like a wooden coaster to me. Someone up here once said it felt like the wheels weren't smooth, that's what I imagine this feeling like.

I obviously need to ride it a few more times, I guess the first time you ride anything you are likely to get tossed around because you are caught off guard by literally everything. Want to pay better attention in the building as well, I feel like I missed a lot in there.

My wife had ridden it before and got off and said "that was rougher than I remember before". I hadn't mentioned anything about what people were saying about it being rough.
