News United Parks Looking for IP Partners

I thought this had been mentioned on the forum before, but I couldn’t find it using the search tool. Still cracks me up for some reason—especially with all the Sesame drama going on.
With the ongoing issues United has with Sesame being publicized, finding a new IP partner won't be as easy. It's a terrible look.
On the surface it can be easy its just how long after the star fades do you want to invest in keeping it going. The thing that is not easy is finding something timeless like Sesame, or with Six Flags: Peanuts, DC, WB Animation.
Sadly this is part of WB Animation's package so in theory KD could bring the HB characters if they wanted to. I foresee after the Paramount Merger this gets folded in to whatever Nickelodeon's licensing ends up in that structure.
Not to throw this too off topic, but Herschend really needs an IP… maybe they can buy the HB rights along with KD and bring it back!

I think Herschend may get the Sesame Street rights because of Sesame Street’s lawsuit against United ParksNot to throw this too off topic, but Herschend really needs an IP… maybe they can buy the HB rights along with KD and bring it back!
Because Herschend has the rights to a couple other Jim Henson properties, this isn’t far off at all.
If Disney didn’t have the rights to the Muppets, I’d say I’d love if Herschend just had the rights to all of the Henson properties.
same with blue sky studios, if disney didnt have the rights to blue sky studios films or spun off blue sky studios instead of folding it, I say I love if herschend just had the rights to those (or maybe six flags since they got the peanuts)

I would think its less about who they could get as partners, and more about who in their right mind would want to partner with them after how they treated Sesame....
I can imagine lots of brands would be open to it to try to get there brand seen by the public. How visible would Sesame Street be today if it wasn’t visible at the SEAS parks? The biggest brands might be hesitant but plenty of slightly smaller brands would probably jump at the opportunity
That's a really hard to define thing though - how much did having a theme park presence help or hurt such a legacy IP?
Also, how would audiences react to a much newer or contemporary IP - would Bluey work better for both parties over Berenstain Bears (just picking these at random, no idea what their availability and interest is)?
