I finally made a video of the 2014 production available on my YouTube channel. At the time I didn't upload it, because I thought it was too shaky in some parts. However, this is too much of a gem to not share. I think the audio is pretty good too.

Nice, sill annoyed that they brought it back for one season then canned it, I mean seriously what the hell!

I would be the one to point out that this year will be the 40th anniversary of "This Is Oktoberfest", I wish that this classic show and "Roll Out the Barrel" could run at the same time even if it's just for 2016. Oh well...

There were two variations of the show in its final years; "Wedding" and "Benches". They are marked below.

Unter Dem Doppeladler

Amboss Polka

Ein Prosit, Der Gemütlichkeit

Schuhplattler (Benches)

Wandersmann Lieder (Benches)

Kreuz Polka

In München Steht Ein Hofbräuhaus

O Du Lieber Augustin (Wedding)

Bier Walzer (Wedding)

The Chicken Dance

Tölzer Schützenmarsh

Rosamunde/ Roll Out The Barrel

I believe the march-out and the transition after The Chicken Dance were originals for This is Oktoberfest! composed by Gary Lensenmayer (the arranger). I would call it This is Oktoberfest Lieder. Anyway, Roll Out The Barrel has many motifs from that song and Liechtensteiner Polka, which was in older variations of the show (200?-2011).

Ok - I feel a little late to the party just having noticed this when I was at the park Sunday - but I have had a very busy Summer thus far and have not been able to visit the park NEARLY as much as I like.

So - is 'This is Oktoberfest' gone again?!?! WTF?! Please provide any info you can so that I can "express my dissatisfaction" with the park eloquently.

Thank you!

Sadly yes, it has been replaced by a new show called "Roll Out the Barrel" which was a meh show at best. I agree with you that "This is Oktoberfest" should come back to the Festhaus, though I will say that seeing the new show "All for One" cheered me up by being a really good action stunt show that reminded me of the "Old Country" era that I never got to experience.

LOL I'm dead serious. I thought "All for One" was really good from when I saw it on the 15th and it was very much what the "Old Country" era would do in the 2010's. Sure some things in the show are a little rusty but what theme park show isn't? At least it was way better than "Roll Out the Barrel" and the god-awful "London Rocks" at least.

OK back to the topic at hand, after watching both the 2013 and '14 videos of the show I can agree with others that it did fit the Festhaus more than the shows that replaced it. Joe is right when he said that "It is a beer hall, not a theater".

When the show was brought back in 2013, someone on here saw Scott (the former entertainment VP) looking embarrassed that people were liking "This is Oktoberfest" than "Entwined" while Phil Raybourn and others were smiling their faces off. With Pete Dunklee as the new VP of entertainment and Phil having more freedom this year, I wonder what they'll do for the shows in 2017.

I believe it! And 2013 was still a slightly stripped down version with a mismatched stage. I'm hoping 2017 brings back more of that authenticity into the shows! I'm so glad Pete and Phil are handling entertainment now! Scott was just gut wrenching.

I'm sure everyone was rejoicing when it was announced that Scott departed the park.

The announcement says that a Burgermeister MC will return for the new show in June, and it will contain traditional German songs and dances, alongside ones with a "German twist" and an actual live band to accompany it. All I can say for the new Das Festhaus show is simply put, thank GOD that OktoberZest has finally been retired at long last!

Please let this show be good!
