really I'm not. But while we are on the topic, just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you.

Watch for when the Oompa band is going so fast one of the guys isn't able to get to his partner in time, and she just has to spin around the stage. That wasn't the first time something like that happened this year.

It was an interesting finale, fun, but interesting. Bring on TIO 2015.

One of the worst performances of a band I have ever heard. Unprofessional.

That's been happening all year. And the dancers are making constant mistakes because the band doesn't seem to know how to stay at a constant, steady pace. Instead, they go at the speed of light during one part of the song, and slow down to normal speed during other parts. It's gotten really annoying.

I know it's been happening all year and I can't believe no one has said anything or done anything about it a lot sooner. With "stuff" like this happening more frequently how can anyone claim the park is not in decline of talent and professionalism? Any of us that are left can't even do our jobs with such unprofessionalism. We can't even get our friends and higher caliber talent to perform at BGW because no one wants to have to deal with these working conditions. Scott has been so desperate he has tried to get certain people to stay and new hires by offering them twice as much money and some even rental cars and hotel rooms. Yet there "isn't enough money in the budget" to pay loyal performers with real talent and they were reduced to first year pay. The reason I say this here is because the most recent ones were in this show. But maybe someone was right on this thread. Maybe Scott lets it get this bad so he can just get rid of it. But anybody that knows Busch before Scott knows that you would never, ever hear or see something this atrocious by performers.

Does the drummer know when he's pounding the drums when the dancers are talking/singing, I can't hear them, because he seems to think it's amusing?

RE: This is Oktoberfest (1976 to 2011, 2013 to Present)

To celebrate Busch Gardens Williamsburg's 40th anniversary, the park plans to cancel This is Oktoberfest for the 2015 season.

I was doubtful at first that the park was truly insane enough to remove a show which has been performed at the park since 1976 on a year that they claim to be celebrating their past, but I now have multiple independent sources confirming the plans. As always, there is a chance things could change and This is Oktoberfest could be put back onto the books sometime before next season, but as things stand now, the park's most iconic show ever is no more.

The This is Oktoberfest thread has now been moved to the Previous Attractions board.

It's too early for April Fools. Please tell me you're joking....

RE: This is Oktoberfest (1976 to 2011, 2013 to Present)

Sadly, I'm not.

There is always a chance that the plans could change, but as things currently stand, 2014's last TIO showing is set to be the last one ever.

Sigh. Thanks for the heads-up, Zachary. Here we go again, right? :/

Every year the park seems to make my worst night mares about it come true. I just wanted one year where they didn't. I'm afraid I'm running out of them, before the park itself becomes my nightmare.

I don't think I realized how much I missed this show in 2012. I missed it just as much as everyone else did, especially seeing how awful Entwined was. It wasn't until I saw it once more in 2013 that a love for the show was created. I knew this time was coming once more, the time TIO dies again(and perhaps forever). I cherished the show and supported it like nobody's business the last two seasons, knowing the last showing of both could be the last showing ever. I was manic last off-season trying to reassure that it would be returning for 2014. Eventually it did, and I supported the show again for the whole season. I was there for the last showing in 2014, but something was different, I wasn't saying to myself this could be the last showing ever as I was constantly thinking the last showing in 2013.

Scott Gasparich hates this show, as we should all know by now. I guess he found it to be lacking in glitter, confetti, and high operating costs, all of which are things he seems to love to put out in a show. He truly was missing the point of the show, which was to just have fun. I absolutely hate the saying "Just have Fun," but the thing is TIO was just a naturally fun show.(see my signature) You didn't have to dissect a fucked up story line, you just needed to enjoy the dancing and singing and enjoy the fun that was happening all around you.

We all have that one thing, that no matter what, makes us happy at the park. This is Oktoberfest had become that one thing for me. I didn't care what the rest of the day brought at the park, as long as I saw This is Oktoberfest at the end of the day I left happy and satisfied knowing that I at least had some fun that day.

Our thoughts, the parks most loyal customers' thoughts no longer matter. The parks rich heritage no longer matters over what Scott Gasparich wants. I'm questioning now what the park has to offer me. All I can say, is that it is a very good thing that I have a Kings Dominion pass this year, I now plan on using it even more.

I have to say that I personally never understood the appeal of TIO. That being said I recognize that it is extremely popular and deeply loved by long time patrons. The show was not for me, but I would not want to have the park shut it down. (Frankly it does me no harm as I also dislike Festhause)

This just does not come as a surprise to me. This is just another in a long series of poorly thought out decisions. It is not the first and I would be highly surprised if it were the last.
