Didn’t a raccoon bite a guest a few years ago? Cute little guy is back for round two.

I didn't know the park had pandas!?

So I got to the Globe at 5:45 today to find doors closed. No communication or staff after waiting for 15 minutes with many other people were finally flagged down a staff member who told us it was full. I understand the venue only holds so many people but come on you can't station a single staff member to communicate that hey we are full or even post a sign.

Last night was nice and I appreciate how many rides were open. However, they were turning people away from BBW around 1000, which the marketing suggested you could queue until 1100. Also the lack of signs or employee assistance lead us to walking all the way to New France just to find out we had to go the other way.

I can not believe how long it takes to get through the parking gate. Its obsurd. Carowinds and KD im through a 15 car line in like 1 to 2min. No ID bs check and whatever else slows it up. 20min to get through befire the turn even starts by apollos helix is insane

And it has been like this for many, many years and plagues every United Parks property I've visited.

All it requires is a system upgrade to enable the parking booths to see the images on-file for pass members and streamline the process. And yet...
Least the fingerprint scanners are gone lol

Don't they show the picture of you when you scan to go into the park itself? I remember they took my pic and never needed to again

Yes. That's what's enraging. They already have the photos and they use them every time you enter the park. They just have to update the system in the parking booths to display them to remove the ID check requirement. That alone would probably double the number of pass holders each booth could get through.

The system they have doesn't work like that to share between points for some reason.

I was font of the line one time waiting to be allowed in and asked a supervisor and the reasoning given is that your pass isn't tied to a certain car, and the attendant can't always see everyone in the car, so if the pass person is sitting in the back, the photo identification doesn't really work. I always found that answer kinda lame, especially for the number of times I drove into Disney with my uncles pass and him not even in the car and they didn't care at all.

The issue is that the system that they currently use for POS is not compatible with the system that they use at the gate that has the pictures stored. Making this even more complex is the gate system was an in house custom designed system for the company. I suppose that a somewhat simple solution would be to give the parking booths one of those scanners but then there is going to be a lot of back and forth between the two systems for the attendants.

German enthusiast here.
I am at Busch Gardens right now and after our last mediocre visit in 2022, the park really doesn't shine either today.
No parking trams running, so guests have to walk despite the opressive heat to get to the entrance. Parking costs 35$, that is really steep.
Pantheon is up and down, maybe because of the heat. Skyride not running.
But why do they keep one of their main attractions like Alpengeist closed for the whole day??? That happened to us in 2022 as well, as Alpie was only supposed to be running on weekends. Does anybody have any insight if there is something Wrong with that ride or do they just randomely close it because of Staff shortage or low attendance? Girl at the gift Shop said that they Decided to close it in the morning and that it may open tomorrow.
I am already regretting coming here.

Experiences like this make me wary of going at all...NO trams??

Alpie needs to be running today and Pantheon being on and off is unacceptable.
