Was house sitting for a friend and explored the neighborhood. Now I know what happened to the car they auctioned off!
They sold at least 4 of these. I can't tell for sure but I don't believe this was the auctioned one as I don't see the 40th sticker on it.
I know that guy! He had the sign shop at the park create that custom decal on the side. It's a very cool display. I'm still trying to get my hands on one. There's still almost a full 14 bodies at the park.
Could we see Nessie get a retrack? It worn down areas, and promote it as new! Totally Scott Ross approved, they would tear the tunnel down and replace it with a 5% surcharge helix!
I don't think Nessie is going anywhere anytime soon, but I do hope she gets a repaint this upcoming off-season. I happened to notice when I last visited how she needs a little TLC.
She got a full repaint only a few years back fir her 40th I doubt that we will see her get another one before her 50th.
The length of time between coaster re-paints has grown significantly under SEAS management, so that's probably right unless they do a piecemeal approach like Apollo a few years ago and Griffon up until last year where they only re-painted the areas of track most visible to guests.
I'll give them a pass on Alpengeist at the moment since they ran out of time on the lift and station re-painting before moving into daily operations. Thinking that job will hopefully be fully wrapped up sometime next month when they have some weekdays to complete the full job while the park is closed.
If anyone on here has operated LNM before, I know ElToroRyan is asking on YT for operator insight into the ride. It was literally the only coaster I didn't operate at least once while I was at the park.

Doesn't it have to be in maintenance mode in order to time the interlocking loop nowm
I have heard conflicting reports on that over the recent years. The the cars are empty in this video and I don't hear any background park noise so it's possible it was in that mode.
AFAIK it technically can in regular mode but the ops aren’t allowed to dispatch until the train ahead clears the midcourse (probably to avoid an e stop causing a train to stop there most likely)
