While I appreciate the .40 cent beers at the Festhaus that is a huge profit loss for the park. I know before I say it I will get numerous posts saying that "I will still pay for a quality beer over some .40 cent Bud Light or Miller". But for me and im sure many others if I have the choice of a 9.99 beer in the Brauhaus or a 7.99 beer somewhere else in the park I will make my way to the Festhaus for a .40 cent brew. I could see it just for a single day or for a week but two months. That is alot of heavily discounted beer.

That always was a great image.  I wonder if they ever sold it as a poster.
Boris Vallejo is the artist and you definitely can buy it in poster size.

Not sure who sells it right now, but Google (artist+topic) offers some leads for the curious.

I have a framed print of it somewhere in my house.  :D

Keep in mind that SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa are offering free beer this summer it doesn't surprise me one bit that the park is doing a modified version of this. Considering it's only two per day and how the other parks in the chain are doing this I feel they have looked into this enough to ensure that it won't be a total financial bust.

But thing is down there they have to pull off things like this to bring people into the park since they have so many other options for theme parks to compete with, here we are it. Here they are undercutting the highly profitable Brauhaus and the beer sold in the Festhaus with meals. Will this bring in more people yes, but do I think it will be as the cost to current offerings, yes.

Yup, you are correct and here is the first one. Just because it is free does not mean it tastes good. Why in the hell would I drink something I don't like because it is free. I can get free water and I actually LIKE that. If you enjoy it, by all means buy it. If you think it is just a cheap way to tide one on, well i would caution you that it is the summer, and you need to hydrate properly, and beer is not useful that way.

In my opinion, Bud/ Miller/ Coors piss water all tastes like... well... watered down piss.

I don't drink much but when I do, I personally prefer to drink a beer I enjoy. I also prefer to support my local vendors as that keeps the money in the state and region. Hell, our local brew is damn good to boot. I have yet to find anything I like better than O'Conner's Irish Stout.

I doesnt mention what size those .40 beers will be.

This can't be expressed enough. There's a draftroom near my apartment. The idea is you get a card tied to your credit/bank card; you use it to 'unlock' at tap, and you get charged by the ounce for your beer. Last time Coors/Mille/Bud Lite/Light was on tap they charged $0.07 an ounce.

The free beer at BGT has been a 7 ounce sample of a rotating beer or Bud Lite. I would bet that they do the same thing here at BGW. It's a rotating tap or a consistent domestic lite lager (most likely Bud).

And to be honest here.....I've worked at a bar that did a rotating "cheap" beer as a sample. What typically happened was a brewery came to us, said they have a new blend they want people interested in, and requested that we go $1 5oz samples, and in exchange we paid a massive reduced price on that keg. So it wouldn't shock me if behind the scenes in BGW put together wanted doing this, and reached out to different breweries to get a pulse on their company wanting to get some new brews out there and if they would be willing to aid in this program. They won't blindly dive into a deal like $0.40 beers without knowing the size, and that they will at worse break even on it.
