Meh I don't even bother with backpacks/bags unless it's utterly necessary or I have someone I can leave my stuff with. Makes not only my life easier, but the employees have less to deal with as well.

I just carry essentials (phone, wallet, camera, etc) and leave the rest at home or in the car. No need to pay for silly lockers or leave stuff on the platform for it to get lost or stolen.

Princess needs a purse, and my pockets (when they exist at all) are largely decorative.

Princess, huh? Expo, want to expound on this?

Heh. I will admit I bare partial responsibility for all this.

You see I bought Princess her first platinum pass and her first roller-coaster safe purse.

It was all down hill from there. She is a bit... organized... yes, that is what we will call it. Buying her that purse just enabled her and now the monster has grown beyond all controllable size. You can't even hope to contain it, the best you can hope, is that it will not try to "organize" you too!!!

^ I'm going to go ahead and call hog wash on the BBW story right there. Harnesses just don't come unlatched. Even the old system BBW had included fail safes.

While I'll admit I wasn't there, they both told me about this afterwards. I tend to believe it happened.

^THIS! My kids and I find it fun to hit Nessie at the end of the night, we end up riding 3-5 times in a row.

We always used to ride it as many times as we could, as the park was closing. The sentries posted at the entrance have gotten grumpier recently, however, I have noticed. One even made me get a locker for my purse!

We used to always ride it last and keep riding until they threw us out.

Think of all of the fun you would have missed without my helpful structure!

Now that I think about it, Nessie has always been there for us. Before her red, suspended sister was demolished. Before Oktoberfest turned into a sparkly, magical forest. Before the announcement of London coming to Elizabethan England. Before the Wilkommenhaus was painted grey. Before Elmo came into England. Before the Old Country was lost. Nessie went through all of that with us.

The day the Loch Ness Monster closes is, uh, just a memory--will mark the true end of the Old Country. She is more than just a coaster. Even more so than the wolf who reigned across the river (Nora...please don't throw tomatoes at me too hard...).

I just had to say that after seeing these pictures. Long live Nessie!

Yea. But if nothing improves for the better and they tear down LNM that will be my last visit, that's basically what takes me back to my childhood BGW. Without it BG will become just another amusement park. Once it goes I go, and so many other people will too.

We don't talk about that here...
I thought about that exact post of yours, which is the reason for the weird wording. *Obviously* I said "is just a memory" because I am saying its memory will be preserved forever since they will build a new park JUST FOR NESSIE! AND REBUILD BIG BAD WOLF TOO! AND JACK WILL BE BACK AND THE OLD COUNTRY WILL RETURN!

Oops. Got a little off topic there. But what I'm saying is I hope the park understands they need to hold onto everything they have left of the park that gives it a soul. And the way things are right now, Nessie is the heart that keeps the Busch Gardens of our memories clinging to life.

I found out a few days ago she passed shelf life.I already Knew Nessie was 10 years over the hill. The shelf life is 25 years. The matnience said once there out of spare parts there done. If they start running out of parts I hope they let Vekoma help her live on till the day the park closes.
