We dont know if they removed anything at all do we?. They've been closed for the last 4 days. They said they would remove the heads but that doesn't mean they are actually gone. It wouldn't be the first time the park didn't do something it said that it would do. Maybe it's a 'oh we'll get around to it' type of thing.

I think Zachary said in his post that the purge was confirmed.

Edit: here is what he said. I'm confident the heads were pulled.

Special thanks to MCMM who originally posted about the negative responses The Virginia Gazette received and to the multiple sources we worked with to confirm the removal of all of Howl-O-Scream’s many severed heads.

I was told there aren't any heads on Ripper Row anymore and a few people have told me that the heads by DarKastle have been removed as well.

I have also seen evidence of head removal. Even though the park is closed Mon-Thur, a lot of people still work during those days.

Anybody else have more concrete evidence of head removal? sheesh. I believed PK when he posted confirmation under my 'question of truth'. Lets move on.

BG just posted on FAcebook.

"We know there will be a lot of opinions on our decision to remove certain props from the park. We stand by it. The horrible tragedy and loss of life for journalists and an humanitarian aid worker in the Middle East is unspeakable and we would not want anything in our park to seem insensitive to that. Changing some of our props will not take away from the Howl-O-Scream experience. We appreciate your support and hope to see you soon for a visit."

What about the abuse and murder of female sex workers? I think depicting such things is extraordinarily insensitive to the plight of exploited women worldwide and I think Busch Gardens should remove anything that suggests it.

How about all the US military personnel who have been killed and injured by insurgents in the Middle East and Afghanistan over the years? The depiction of severed limbs is a grim and sick reminder of the tragedies wrought by IEDs, and the fake dead bodies bring to mind all the troops who have died serving the citizens of the United States. I think that Busch Gardens should just cancel the entire Howl-O-Scream event out of respect for the sensitivities of any of its guests, especially given that the park serves a community that includes so many military personnel.

I personally believe we should all shut down the roller coasters in the park because every year people die or are injured from

- falls from extreme heights
- car accidents
- mountain accidents
- getting a bit too close to the sun
- water-related incidents
- Europe in the Air
- and mythical half eagle, half lion hybrids

And just for fun
- biking accidents
- storms

I am highly offended that the park keeps these attractions running because of the dangerous nature of these themes. Instead, we should replace all of them with attractions suited toward families.
