RE: Howl-O-Scream 2014: The Head Thread

The WAVY News story consisted of a self-righteous old man babbling about scary props not being in the "Halloween spirit" and a sensible old man saying that removing the props was silly. There was also a reporter standing on the roadside near the park and a bunch of file tape of Howl-O-Scream.

In other words, standard television news.

Can I just say how happy it makes me when two of my favorite things -- international politics and theme parks -- collide? Plus, we have the added bonus of rampant political correctness and stupidity. It is a great day to be alive!

^ Because people are sometimes killed in mines and KD had a mining-themed maze so OUTRAGE!

What was the deal with the mining maze at KD last year?

Families of miners who had never even visited the park found the description of their "Miner's Revenge" maze offensive, garnering enough steam to get it removed. All because people die in mines and KD had a haunted mine.

My last encounter with organized religion was a visit to a church where, during the service, one of the ministers extinguished the altar candles because someone had whispered to her that a little girl in the congregation was afraid of fire.

The unholy spirit of censorship in the name of fear is with us always, whether it's heads, or jokes, or candles.

YEAH,very crazy that people are taking this to extremes over a Halloween themed event. What about when the elderly gentlemen when he goes to a store, and they have a manquin head on display should every where remove them. How about the Halloween stores that have severed heads, should they be removed. Yeah I can see his point of view, but HOS is planned out as soon as the previous season ends.
