Super Boomerang
i know this is the crazy thoosie in me, but yknow what they should’ve done? Buy a second identical super boomerang, put it next to the first one, call both “Mister Freeze: The Chiller Returns” or something. Or just call the existing one that. As expensive and impractical as this is, would improve the capacity worries about the ride and would get a good nostalgia pr pop that is desperately needed. “Hey i know we are getting rid of ka but we have a new ride replacing it in 2026 AND the chiller is back!”
But we don't know that they had decided on Ka at the point they purchased and bought Flash in fact there seems to be a fair amount of evidence supporting that decision not have being made yet

A final in-park progress photo dump for the year, and very likely my last set before this ride is finally completed and operating.

Flash lends some excitement to the park entrance area, especially when a train is running!

Lighting fixtures have been added to the station (guest appearances: the train making a track transfer and a random bench!)

One month apart: a roof was added to the train housing.

A newly added path nearby makes the area less cramped.

It appears that part of the queue area will be enclosed.

One last nerdy detail: the slightly zoomed in concept art removes Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro from the "Coming Spring 2025" sign (Green Lantern remains).

Kind of annoyed the park has been so quiet about construction updates and potential theming. Like they built this large indoor queue building which makes you think it may have some sort of theming, but they haven't mentioned anything. Meanwhile, SFOG re-themed Georgia Surfer to Georgia Goldrusher and are adding a bunch of theming, uploading social posts about it, etc.

With all the negative emotions at the park they may be reluctant to post much. I don't envy ElToroRyan's job for this season.

As much bitterness as there is about capacity and the idea some have gotten that this is a replacement for any of the rides we’ve lost, it really does look like a fun addition to the lineup. Really don’t think there’s any need to be too concerned about capacity in a park that’s struggled to regain pre-covid attendance.

Unfortunately the Flash is another casualty of the 2024 ride purge as its opening is being overshadowed by the removals, mainly KK. The idea of Flash being a KK replacement is absurd as it was built while KK operated. if anything its more likely to be a defacto replacement for GL. Sadly Flash was not intended to be a clutch to prop up a diminished season like its now being tasked to. That is a difficult task for any ride.

And honestly I’m fine with calling it a replacement for Lantern for the time being, despite the fact that they were going to operate at the same time at one point (definitely think that removal was decided upon early on). It’ll obviously be a much more comfortable ride, and I do think it’ll be more well received overall.

On one hand, I get wanting to give the local passholders first dibs, but if someone’s willing to make the trip and is already paying for APP, why stop them? Weird exclusion.
Seriously. Like I actually live closer to SFGAdv than any of the CF parks (Dorney is very close) and bought the pass through Kings Dominion since it was cheapest there. I'm blaming how the APP works at SF parks when bought through a CF park - it doesn't actually give you a "pass" for the SF parks, it just gives you a multiple-use daily ticket, if that makes any sense. Thus why you can't add any SF type "add-ons" to the APP from a CF park. Hopefully for 2026 this is all resolved and it's just one pass type.

Honestly kinda assumed it was some sort of backend issue, but I’m not currently a passholder in any capacity so I didn’t really want to voice those assumptions without a passholder chiming in. Makes much more sense than randomly excluding some passholders, though.

They’re doing what they ALWAYS have done at legacy SF & CF— they’re giving perks to locals who buy local passes instead of shopping around for the cheapest price. I get that we all want the cheapest pass, but if you get it you may not get all the entitlements of your home park. It’s just a fact of life.
