They’re doing what they ALWAYS have done at legacy SF & CF— they’re giving perks to locals who buy local passes instead of shopping around for the cheapest price. I get that we all want the cheapest pass, but if you get it you may not get all the entitlements of your home park. It’s just a fact of life.
That is NOT the CF way at all. Every pass level got the same perks as that pass level (if the pass level and/or perk existed) at every CF park in the chain, no matter where you bought it.

Well every other chain only gives full perks at the home park where your pass was purchased to discourage people from buying out of market passes cheaper. I know some perks are chain wide, but I have never heard of any chain not limiting those perks when it’s not your home park.

I think Cedar Fair expressly stated that part of the purpose of the Prestige pass launch was to standardize pass benefits across the chain.

I'd also say that though, yes, many parks have horribly segregated, poorly documented, and confusing pass benefits systems, it really doesn't need to be that way. If parks are really concerned about the very small subset of people who will bargain hunt their way out of $30 or whatever by buying a pass at their non-home park, they can just tie passes to addresses and only enable certain park's passes to be bought by people living in certain geographic areas. I believe this is what United Parks did for a long time (and still may?) with Fun Cards?

I just think there are much better solutions than to have one person with the highest tier pass available be treated differently than someone else with the highest tier pass available to them. Especially of Six Flags wants to be the Vale Resorts or whatever of amusement parks and they want to run multiple parks with geographic overlap, this is going to matter more and more.

You've never been able to get a single park season's dining plan at a park other your home park.

I’m honestly lost.

You can get all-season dining for all of the parks, if you get the all-parks add-on. Thus, you can get the same perks across all of the parks, regardless of your home park. My understanding of the discussion is that unlike other chains, CF strove to make perks uniform for those with the all-parks add-on.

I’m not sure what single park dining options have to do with it.

Take this with a grain of salt. But multiple people on site are reporting that Flash failed its inspection, if this is true, it would push opening day of the ride back to July at the earliest per New Jersey regulations

It may have failed other (building) inspections for the station or something. The township is very strict about code enforcement since the fire (when the park blamed them and they blamed the park). I remember when Golden Kingdom opened they didn't have the certificates of occupancy signed off so none of the buildings could be opened, just the pathway.

Booooooring... Look at all those switchbacks, hopefully we get some entertainment in there. A little platform is on the right side of that photo sooooo, I'm thinking we will see a theming element there eventually.

Thank you for posting! Was wondering if there would be anything. To be fair, it doesn't look complete yet. Maybe they will add a Flash statue to the right? Maybe there will be some themed audio?

On a positive note, at least you can wait inside with fans on a hot day.

Damn with the direction SF is trying to move in with enhanced theming, I was definitely expecting more out of the covered queue, especially with the extra time the park had to build/finish it. At least the standard comic strip panels they did for some of the other DC rides would be better than nothing.

On the bright side, I'm glad GAdv has a covered queue now. More parks should do permanent looking shade structures for their queues.

I'll be at the park in a few weeks. Can't wait to finally ride this!
