The ride looks great except it does not go very far up the forward spike. It’s going to be a capacity nightmare.

The video of the one in China show some kind of switch track at the backwards spike. So I would assume it would be possible to put in a switch track to run to trains. But Six Flags is not going to spend the money to do that.

The capacity easily exceeds Joker and Jersey Devil. Theoretically probably beats both combined, though JD runs close to its maximum in practice. That said, SF has many parks it would suit better.

I actually think Six Flags New England could have used that quite a bit more than Great Adventure. A launch coaster missing from a lineup of 10+ coasters feels like a hole. Of course there are other parks that need it more than NE. Just thinking about it from a lineup perspective. I mean Great Adventure is piling on with everything they build at this point it’s basically Magic Mountain East.

SFGA also faves some much stiffer competition. HP splits guests with it and Jolly Rancher Remix was a pretty good hit for the park, so SFGA getting its own boomerang style coaster makes sense. SFNEs closest big scale competition that pulls people away is Darien Lake and Dorney Park which aren’t really alternatives.

I’d argue Lake Compounce definitely eats into SFNEs attendance somewhat but that’s the closest completion they have that’s is up there.

Closest but they target different demographics. LC leaned hard into their water park and young family dynamic. Far more likely to see teens and tweens at SFNE.

Dorney is way closer to Great Adventure than Six Flags New England. It's also 350 miles away from Darien Lake, which being Six Flags owned, isn't a competitor anyway.

You're not wrong about Great Adventure having much more local competition, but you're picking the wrong ones for SFNE.

Those are the alternatives I went to for SFNE and Lake Compounce as a kid. They were easier to get to than many other “major” parks.

That’s a transfer to take off trains for maintenance. Anyways joker does just fine so I think the park will do alright. They just need one hell of a crew to run it. I think time will tell if it does actually have a turntable because renderings aren’t always exact.

Nice to see some area upgrades coming alongside this thing. Wonder what's up with that Arboretum. Sounds like a very pleasant addition!

Shame they couldn't figure out a way to get a sliding station to have another train on the course, but that isn't unexpected.
