Wow they're moving quicker than I expected on this thing. I hope it's open for my July trip! (still not expecting it knowing six flags though)

I'm curious why there hasn't been a official animated video of Flash since Georgia Surfer and Bobcat got theirs a few weeks ago. It is needed cuz nobody around the area whose home park is GAdv, doesn't even know that this is coming to the park this year.

The impression I got was this was a VERY last minute addition. Plus, there's video of the real thing already in existence...

I believe it was from a cancelled chimelong park, and same with the ultra surf. Not too sure on that but i swear last year there was a ultra surf for sale from a cancelled Project

I think when the Intamin Ultra Surf was up for sale, SF likely bought it for SFOG cuz they were teasing by saying "Who's ready to LAUNCH into a new month" on Twitter since the park planned for it to get revealed at their Coaster Fest presentation prior to the box appearing near the Crystal Pistol Music Hall.

Correct, the Ultra Surf specifically was intended for Novaland in Vietnam (source). Don't know for certain that this Super Boomerang was from the same project, but by the SF CEO's words in that one conference call where 'we had a chance to add a nice ride late in the game', I assume it was a similar situation.

I should note I highly highly doubt that the Vekoma Super Boomerang ever spreads to the level the dreaded Vekoma Boomerang did. Also if you ignore the fact it has the words “Vekoma” and “Boomerang” in sequence it’s completely different other than the fact it’s a shuttle coaster. In addition to that it looks pretty badass if you ask me. There is one in existence on the other side of the world in a country I can’t make an argument to travel to for roller coasters. Griffon at BGW actually has a clone in South Korea which really puts a dent in that rides “specialness” I guess but I haven’t let that subtract from that ride experience as Griffon is 1 hour down 64 from where I sleep and do spreadsheets.

I almost wish Vekoma chose a different name for this model of roller coaster. I think “Super Boomerang” is cool but it seems like the branding just has an exceptionally poor taste in somes mouths. Honestly we need memes of the old boomerang encountering the super soldier serum…..or eating a snickers and turning into the Super Boomerang, sounds more fun to me.

The Boomerang model is one of Vekoma's most popular off the shelf models, so no surprise they want to name the next gen model "Super Boomerang". Enthusiasts don't like Boomerangs because they're everywhere and they're known for being rough. The public on the other hand, eats them up because you go upside down multiple times forward and backward. Parks like them because they're cheap and can fit anywhere.

The lighting and graphics on the train look fantastic! Honestly, the coaster overall looks very nice aesthetically based on that video. For a ride that they bought secondhand at the last minute, I'm impressed.

Certainly agree that the previously debated capacity concerns are super valid, but ignoring those for a moment, I am really looking forward to this coaster otherwise.

Honestly the assembly of the ride should only take a few weeks. Wiring and programming a few weeks more. Should be open in June.

Finally Flash is vertical!
