Since when would a shuttle coaster not be a coaster? i certainly think that your classic boomerang is a coaster.
I should note I am playing in on an inside joke about our two most recent VA clones being "flats."
I've watched the video I think 5 times. lol. This looks incredible, but also like it will have rather low capacity for a coaster at SFGAdv. Would it be possible for them to add a turntable for loading/unloading so one train can do that while the other is on the track?
I would assume yes if Great Adventure wanted one. I’d still wait 2ish hours for that thing easily after sacrificing more than that to 2 laps on DarKoaster total.
I think a turntable version could be developed for the right price, but since this is talked about as being a 'last second' addition acquired from somewhere else, I doubt it'll have one. But to be fair, Great Adventure already installed a low capacity ride, at the very end of the main street no less (Joker). I feel this would do similar numbers.
It wouldn't be hard to do better numbers, to be honest. Cycle time for the Super Boomerang is about 70 seconds, even worst case scenario doing 20 cycles an hour that's still 480 riders per hour compared to Joker which is usually in the low 400s.
If they do theme it to Mr. Freeze, low key I would be so happy. One of the cooler comic characters to name a ride after.
Hopefully the 180 hints at a 180° rotation for a turntable... but as this is a 'scramble' project, it's probly just the 180° twisting drop.
