I don’t even know what to say
(I’m assuming this is from SeaWorld Orlando)

I would skip it. We're in Florida 4x-5x a year and used to go every trip. We just got back Tuesday and we skipped Sea World Christmas. We did Discovery Cove but, again, disappointed in the cleanliness of the park, not good food and how bad the general upkeep has fallen. How much has declined since last Christmas? That was the last time I was there. I've been considering going this holiday, but this is honestly making me reconsider. So sad, the Florida parks used to be so incredible.
They may *need* our support but do they DESERVE it? Depends on how well they’re running their park. In SeaWorld’s case, it comes down to the fact they pay their employees next to nothing, the hours are either all the hours on the planet or none, and a lot of management that doesn’t give two shits about their employees.Went this past August and I had a blast. I'm still going to support all theme parks regardless of how bad the upkeep may be. The theme park industry needs our support more than ever right now, especially with how much they're struggling with this economy crisis and rising costs put on them.
To each their own. I'm still going to go and support them. They may *need* our support but do they DESERVE it? Depends on how well they’re running their park. Accountability is a huge issue at SWO, and it starts with management. If management isn’t holding themselves accountable, there’s no way they’re holding their employees accountable to keep their park quality up to an acceptable standard.
For Seaworld to deserve our support, they first need to increase their pay (for the love of god they’re one of the lowest paying employers in central Florida!), overhaul management, make hours for their employees fairer, and hold everyone to a higher standard from the get go.
I still go here and there because I’m local and I love me a good mako marathon, but otherwise? They don’t get a dime out of me (which is $0 to begin with).
I'm wondering if someone could sue the shit out of them due to ada policies.![]()
SeaWorld Orlando no longer allowing seated walkers in its theme park: 'Disappointing'
Update (Nov. 25): The Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division said it has opened an investigation after receiving numerous complaints about the recent policy change at SeaWorld Orlando.www.fox35orlando.com
This seems fucked up.
I looked it up. They can ban them if they can provide proof it poses a safety concern.I'm wondering if someone could sue the shit out of them due to ada policies.
In that case, ban strollers and ECVs on account of 85% of people running into others with those.I looked it up. They can ban them if they can provide proof it poses a safety concern.
You jest but some form of this being implemented would actually be a good thing in my opinion. Too many of them clogging up midways and most of their users don’t know what they’re doingIn that case, ban strollers and ECVs on account of 85% of people running into others with those.
I forget where I was, but they had a “lane” painted on the pathways for these and the staff was hardcore about getting on people who went outside of it.You jest but some form of this being implemented would actually be a good thing in my opinion. Heaven forbid people who have mobility issues be able to enjoy activities like everyone else. You jest but some form of this being implemented would actually be a good thing in my opinion. Too many of them clogging up midways and most of their users don’t know what they’re doing
Way to twist my words. I think you know perfectly well that’s not what I’m saying, and I’m certain that you (like everyone else) has been frustrated by the congestion caused by massive and unnecessary strollers, and scooter users who drive like it’s their first day on earth. There are 100% solutions to this problemHeaven forbid people who have mobility issues be able to enjoy activities like everyone else.
