I’m now hearing, due to this stunt, Falcon’s Flight has been rendered inoperable for a little while. Apparently maintenance teams did not clear this stunt. I can’t verify the validity of the cause, but from what I’m hearing, it sounds like the pyro fucked up the LSMs and train that pyro was mounted to.
The coaster opened on time with the park today.

The first SF park to be outside the US for over 20 years!
Do you mean North America? Don't forget about La Ronde (leased) or Six Flags Mexico. It is not really a Six Flags park though, they just bought the naming rights. Six Flags does not own or operate the park outside of a consulting role. Oversimplified, it is owned by an investment company which is owned by the Saudi Arabian government.

Who paid who for the naming rights?

It's definitely interesting that they think the Six Flags name is valuable enough to be worth licensing. Maybe the familiarity of the name helps, despite the negative brand issues in the US.
I could’ve seen it go either way. Six Flags is getting a lot of brand recognition out of this, and the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster pretty much just appeared in the desert for them, along with a park that looks quite nice and well planned out.

Guess it comes with a risk too if they are not involved with maintaining or operating anything.

Owned by Qiddiya Investment Company but Six Flags DOES operate the park under management contract.

Could you provide a source? I cannot find a press release, although I may have missed one. Wikipedia states it is operated by Six Flags Corperation, but does not cite a source.

No wonder I did not find it, I was not searching for stuff posted in November. I wonder why they did not post this on the corporate website?
From the second paragraph of the press release:
Under the agreement, Six Flags will bring its unparalleled management expertise, operational excellence and strategic insight to provide operational support for both parks in Qiddiya City.
Operational support is not very binding language.
I think the only new (although expected) information in this press release is:
Under the agreement, Brian Machamer, President of Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia Water Theme Park since 2019, will continue leading the operations of both parks.
I don't think they are using the term "Official Operator" in the same context most of us are familiar with (for example Darian Lake or Frontier City).

Very cool that there's a recorded POV of this.
