I wonder how many thoosies are going to visit Saudi Arabia for this. Also I hope it's widely known whenever this thing opens that thoosies should remember this is a nation with full Sharia Law enforced. Hard sell for me on visiting any nation especially for theme parks and roller coasters with laws like that. I mean that applies to any nation with a strict authoritarian government. China can tempt me all they want, I ain't going there for roller coasters.

Not gonna get too political with this but it’s tough to find companies anymore without a Saudi PIF investment or Chinese company backing.

Yeah, but you can engage with companies with Saudi/Chinese investments without being arrested for being gay or drinking alcohol. Different ballgame of practicality. I'd love to ride this coaster, but I literally cannot unfortunately :(
Very much agreed and understand the issues that come with being who you are creates problems in the country. But to me it’s more so that it’s tough because many ways you are supporting a regime that does that stuff and keeping them in power. I likely won’t go for similarish reasons of not wanting to be in the country that supports those actions - but being able to avoid them altogether is near impossible. (More so the point I was making)

Yeah my comment is more out of of "concern for others safety" if they attempt to go ride this thing. I mean if I went over there and expressed agnostic views that wouldn't go well for me at all. Not that it would go swimmingly in the United States or anything but at the very least being executed wouldn't be on the table for something like that.

The scale of that image is genuinely incomprehensible. I don't know the exact height, but the small lift hill in the back is likely between 150-180ft... and the Arch is already double that... and is still probably only at 2/3 of the final height. Just insane. NEED a side angle of that Arch.

For overall ride progress: GREEN is what's built & complete, YELLOW has supports erected. I think we're about at the 50% mark now.

And another angle; showing the contouring of the cliff face being done, as well as the 60m Vekoma Tilt coaster going up:

I’m just saying, if this actually opens I am taking a loan out to ensure I get on this thing asap. Absolutely freaking bonkers.

Alright there’s a thread for Six Flags Qiddiya already but I think falcons flight deserves its own thread. So let’s get this thread moving. As you are all I’m now sure are aware, the trains for falcons flight were revealed yesterday. 726B7100-73A9-4495-BBC0-6FCC4C711983.jpeg
However, that’s not all. The model is being sold by Intamin as a “Exa Coaster” and has the following stats.

A length of 13,943.6 ft
The highest point of the ride will be 639.8 ft tall on top of the canyon wall
The drop will be 519.0 ft tall and will have a launch on it to go over the massive airtime hill
The ride will also hit 155.3 MPH

The ride will run 6 trains with 14 passengers each. BDAE2C6B-69D3-47DB-8288-DB98205501A6.png All and all, this ride is shaping up to absolutely be one of the greatest coasters possibly ever. Absolutely insane that it’s being constructed and I cannot wait to see how this turns out.
