We passed 70,000 posts today and hit 2,000 threads yesterday. Pretty awesome.

Financial Statements will be coming back, and August's should be up in a few days.

So how about those Financial Statements?

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

They will be coming back, but they have been put on hold for now. Also there will be some site maintenance at some point today for about an hour. You'll still be able to read the site, just not post anything new.

Is there a problem with E-mail alerts being sent for thread subscriptions? I haven't been getting any since earlier today.

Also, what can the "Buddy List" be used for? What does it do?

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

You should start to see new thread icon "flags" show up across all officially covered parks. Here are is the key in case you were curious what they were:

I made them all myself, the ones that aren't generic country flags I made from scratch by hand.

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

The new flags Shane mentioned above should now be in place everywhere. If we missed one or one is misplaced, by all means, please let us know. On that note, you may or may not have noticed that the new flags broke a lot of the sorting systems we have in place on some of the structured boards. They will be fixed soon.

Also, in other news, all sites now have their halloween logos up including one you've never seen before for Busch Gardens Tampa. As always, massive thanks to Applesauce for putting them together!

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

Woo! We have passed yet another milestone! 75,000 posts!

I will have to get Zachary to look it up later, but I don't have the name or the post i.d. for the 75k post, but we will wait on that information.

Anyways, a BIG thanks to each and every member for helping making this site what it is currently. None of this would have been possible without y'all.

Give another big thanks over to our administration team Zachary, Gavin, and Shane! They devote their time and money to also make this site possible!

And let's not forget the other forum staff Bill, D.R. Money, JMU, Nora, Cedarva, Chris, Alpenghost, Applesauce, and myself!

With that said... continue on with your discussions!

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

Sorry for the lack of progress/updates lately. Been a rough few weeks.

Anyway, a few things did happen today.

  • Shane restored the normal (non-holiday) logos across all the park-specific areas of the network.
  • I pulled down all the halloween themed slides from the three park-specific blogs. Both the This is Oktoberfest slide on BGWFans and the Planet Snoopy slide on KDFans have also been removed as they have run their course.
  • Three new slides have been added to BGWFans- one for Christmas Town, one for the WCUSA 2014 project, and one for the 2015 Festa Italia project. BGTFans will get its Christmas Town slide ASAP.

Now, in regards to the future. I'm still in a bit of a tough spot and haven't been able to devote as much time to both BGWFans and the network as a whole as I would like. Unfortunately, for the time being, that doesn't seem like it's going to change for a bit. That said, the good news is that overall, we're in a fairly good place right now. Everything is running smoothly as far as I can tell and there aren't any immediate needs that have to be met. We still have very bold plans for the future (and a roadmap to get to them), but don't be surprised if things are a bit quiet for a little longer.

2014 will be a good year. Thanks for hanging in there everyone- keep that discussion flowing. :)

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

BGTFans got its Christmas Town slide today. Thanks to Busch Gardens Tampa for providing the image and logo. BGW should take notes. Good source material makes for good slides which make for free advertisement. Imagine that.

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

Well it seems as if it was over looked, but if your home park is Busch Gardens Tampa, then you can now select it as your home park in your profile settings.

It should be in the "additional information" box.

RE: The ParkFans Network: Site Updates & Changes

Just wondering, but what ever happened to a WaterWorks forum under Kings Dominion's board? I think we said it would be part of the addition of the structured boards for KD, but that seems to have been forgotten. Not a big deal--just wondering if that was just forgotten completely? :)
