The sidebar is enabled again and I think I'll leave it up overnight. I know it's still a tad bit rough (especially the animation) but I think it's just about there. If anyone finds any bugs or has any ideas of things that should be added, let me know.

I still open about 30 tabs anyways to post, so I'm not missing anything. Although I do miss the most recent post in "x" thread deal, that at least told me the forum was active instead of last week's news.

Is the last post view a major loss? Is it something that's really needed? How do you generally find new posts on the forums? I honestly don't know how 99% of the people here browse the boards and that information is somewhat important when making changes like this. If the majority of people want it back, I'll happily put it back.

I don't give a fuck what the majority wants, I WANT IT BACK AND THAT'S ALL THAT SHOULD MATTER.
I think we should all take the time to PM Zach about every little change we desire that would make the forums most user friendly, and see what he comes up with.

Nah the only thing I really use the "latest post" feature for is to just glance how recently the forum has had activity in. If it was in the last 48 hours I'll look into it, if it was over a week ago I'll just mark the forum read and move to another. I base my activity in forums by how much those little black dots pop up, and if there's any news I REALLY want to relay out I'll post it no matter how dead the forum is.
I actually use "latest post" a bit as a shortcut to the recent posts. More information == more better.
JMU, have you tried using the unread post markers instead? With the subforums visible on the main page you can instantly see what subforums have new posts and jump right to the appropriate subforum without leaving the front page. If you haven't been using it up until this point you may want to mark everything as read and start from there.

*sigh* Just fix it instead of forcing us all to browse in your preferred method. WE ARE NOT SLAVES TO YOUR WILL.
I like the new *Unread Post* highlighted in red. I can easily find where I left off in a thread, or more easily now anyways. Not too fond of the no attachments though.
