I think there's a possibility CP was the only place it could open IN 2025, even if otherwise other parks would be a better choice. KI doesn't really need anything new either, but lacks the ejector this thing will provide, and then there's the neglected parks.

My theory?

<_<
>_>

Corkscrew is on its way out. Its plot of land is too small/awkward for most modern coasters. Siren fills the "standard looper" slot nicely, with a marketable gimmick.

*Runs away*

Don’t be daft. This is the real world where corporations don’t make multi-million dollar deals on a whim like this. Plus this is using the Cedar Dorms site, the single break-glass land option that they didn’t seem to be in a hurry to use unless they absolutely had to.
You’re forgetting this wasn’t originally supposed to go to Cedar Point. This was going to be an addition for Six Flags Mexico. So this was already paid for by the company

Only Cedar Fair would buy a whole park chain just to make sure Cedar Point has a new coaster for 2025.
Yes. Because why not

I still say the best option for KI would be a Mack Xtreme Spinner (ala Ride to Happiness)

Damn the bottom tier parks are so screwed at this rate. Be lucky to get a new coaster every decade! Maybe they will rotate it better on?

Cons:
- This is 100% a move to keep attention away from the failings of Top Thrill 2

Yup. This is the company's "Sorry about Top Crap 2" coaster.

Some of you need to calm the fuck down. Until we actually know more. The press release says TT2 is reopening in 2025. So that’s what I am assuming here

The company want it open next year, however confidence that it will happen is extremely low which is why they made this last minute decision to bring this tilt coaster that was intended for Six Flags Mexico.

Is confidence really that low that Zamperla won’t find a solution in 9 months.

No way to tell if confidence is low. They could be 100% confident and this is still a great gesture to the public.

I have industry contacts where I get my info from. Confidence is low which is why they made a last minute decision to move this coaster from Mexico to Sandusky.
Bruh.

Bring in Vekoma to take over from Zamperla. I'm shocked it wasn't them to begin with. They already have LSM swing launch technology and trains!

The trains need to be able to take the stress of 120mph speeds, be light enough to make it 420ft up, and do so on a track from a different manufacturer built over 20 years ago. That's not an easy feat and understandable why few manufacturers would take that project on.

Now I gotta wonder if the Snake River Falls plot might be another coaster. Cause this is Coaster #19 for CP. So their next one would be the golden #20.
