A video was posted of the Singing Mushrooms entirely brand-new song list made specifically for the 50th anniversary. The frog's new voice may take some getting used to, but this was a wonderful much-needed update, and it makes me so happy that KD took the time and effort to keep them around much longer.

I'm not super familiar with the mushrooms' prior ouevre, so I don't know where the bar is set here.

But opening with one of Fats Waller's catchiest piano tunes -- which is saying a LOT given that it's Fats Waller -- is peak old-school cool. I love everything about that.

Looks like more songs have been added to their setlist (and a line changed in one existing song) specifically for the 50th anniversary. Very cool!

That first one sung to the William Tell overture is from The Flintstones so it's a nice homage to the park's early Hanna-Barbera days.

If this isn’t a metaphor for the current state of the chain, I don’t know what is.

It sucks that they aren’t being kept up at all. This has been like this for at least three days now.
Once again... I miss Cedar Fair.

When SF and CF were separate companies, I believe SF pushed CF to do better (and they did do better). Now that both are one huge chain, they don't really have that "brother" they are competing with. These parks are becoming the only game in town and once again are cutting corners and bleeding money. Typical SF.

To SFEC: Please, please, please, love your parks, staff sufficiently and love your guests! It will go a long way.

Maybe that's the case for other parks, but BGW is just an hour away and has exerted a constant influence on KD's decisions for basically its entire existence. KD is the one park that really can't afford to rest on its laurels or it could permanently lose passholders to BGW. I really don't think SFA and Six Flags in general were ever much of a factor compared to BGW.

this is why six flags & cedar fair shouldn't had merged in the first place (six flags would rather be bought by Warner bros discovery instead while cedar fair still be cedar fair)

While I have zero faith in Six Flags’ ability or willingness to give the park the maintenance attention it needs, important context for this board is that the Singing Mushrooms have had persistent issues since they were added in 2014. The animatronics have had all sorts of mechanical problems, messed up movements, broken mustaches, missing eyelids, etc. over the years. Sometimes it’s taken a few weeks to get fixed. The real test will be how long it takes for this to get fixed (assuming it does).
