Way to ruin my childhood perception that this water was like a billion feet deep. ?Two random shots of what it looks like down under the station when it’s drained.

In all fairness I have pictures somewhere of Pompeii running with guests on one of the old preview days when it was actively flurrying“Sir, does it make sense to run the log flume in 40 degrees?”

I would add you have to get ride ops cycles to get them in practice remember we start this year off by going almost into spring break. It's always a catch-22...if they run the water rides and it's cold everyone complains, if they weren't running everyone would complain they weren't running (and it would be 80 degrees). This is always the biggest challenge with operations in March-- one day it's spring, the next its winter again.
I've enjoyed them being non operational. Keeps the ride more relaxing getting only mildly wet (especially on cooler days) vice getting randomly soaked.Card readers are now intact for the cannons at the end of the ride. A long time coming for sure.
I don't recall ever seeing any significant spray from the cannons there. But there are several that are aimed to hit you from behind possibly making it seem like more then it really was by not seeing it coming.I recall a big shot of cold water in the back from the cannons. Absolutely should be disabled below 80 degrees (as should any other soaking feature). I was starting to ride a water ride every visit when warm enough (not yet), with these repairs I'll more likely act as they don't exist.
