Writing is on the walls, even in the park. Build-a-bear used to heavily feature Sesame characters, last time I was there there were only two. And even those were not highlighted.

Interestingly, the winter closure of the San Diego property which clearly irked Sesame Workshop last winter has been reversed this year. According to the current schedule, Sesame Place San Diego will be open throughout winter and will be bringing their Halloween and Christmas events back.
So not only was it a stupid idea to piss off their IP partner, but it was a stupid decision financially on the park level too? Classic.
