I just realized something. What if this means we in Williamsburg could also get...

OSCAR'S WACKY TAXI??

Happy National Roller Coaster Day.
It wasn't in the plans show with the survey so is so it likely would be a future installation and not part of the opening if we get the park.

I think something like a B&M Family Coaster (like this:

) would be something unique for kids and provide while providing just enough of a thrill for their age. Also, looking at its footprint, it looks like it could fit perfectly into the 'central park' section from the survey.

Ayyy that would be 10 roller coaster then. But I'd rather them get the Vekoma model.

The current production Vekoma family inverts swing a little, don't they? It would be as close to the triumphant return of Big Bad Wolf as we'll ever get.

Based on the things that are planned to go into the park next year and the new trains we got on Nessie this year, perhaps the S&S Family Inverted coaster would be more likely than either the B&M or Vekoma offerings. But on opening day, if the park builds what is in that concept site plan, I think that Grover's Alpine Coaster is the only coaster that will be in the park, more than likely with a new theme and name.

I'm really hoping that a dedicated Sesame Place Williamsburg would address some of those problems @BGW Family.

I swear, a simple, classic darkride would do wonders. I would find my way into Sesame Place a few times a year just to ride one to be honest.

Just a nice simple Sally ride would be great. All we really need is something like the Cat in the Hat darkride at Islands of Adventure or the Sally LEGO darkrides at the LegoLands.

Why should they split Forest of Fun from the rest of BGW? It's such a small place, and it'd be completely surrounded by BGW. I'd rather they just make another Sesame Place somewhere outside of BGW and Water Country, perhaps creating a SEAS triangle in Williamsburg.

Actually, based on the concept art in the survey, Seasame Place would be quite large, with Forest of a Fun making up just one section. It would also probably be a third gate.

@Zachary laid everything out in a article here, including some maps.

Oh, neat.

Sucks that an entire parking lot's gonna be removed, tho.

I hope they build a family coaster inside it down the road. Maybe one of those Vekoma junior inverts? Oscar’s Wacky Taxi clone?

After two days at Sesame Place I really believe this park would be a huge success. They were packed both days. They also sell so much merchandise. Both coasters are fun, but oscar's is impressive. It's more intense than I expected! A clone of that would be awesome!

I would really like to think that one would be successful in Williamsburg but you honestly never know for sure. It would be really great if there was documentation on this huge internet that detailed the evolution and history of Pennsylvania's Sesame Place. I say all this because as you may or may not know the Sesame Place in Pennsylvania was not always the only Sesame Place park. While the original park opened in 1980, a second park opened in 1982 outside Dallas. It was a short lived park closing in 1984. While there had to be major differences between the two it would be great to know why it PA's was so successful and why TX's was a failure. I know it's been more than 30 years since that parks closure and things have dramatically changed in the amusement park business in the last 30+ years it really makes me wonder if it was actually the location that makes PA's successful or if it is the Sesame Street IP.

EDIT:
So I really ought to Google before I post! The Muppet's Wikia actually has a pretty long and detailed historical article for Sesame Place Texas and it looks like the park was more like LEGOLAND Discovery Center than a themepark like Sesame Place. Surprisingly the Muppet Wikia has a lot more information about the TX park than they do about the PA park which makes me even more curious about the history of the PA park! Check out the Texas Wikia article here.

According to Wikipedia the Sesame Place in Texas closed due to poor attendance and competition from a profusion of water parks. It appears as though Pennsylvania opened with a similar "computer lab and play area" concept and then expanded.

If the Williamsburg location happens, I hope they consider opening up the Forest of Fun area to alleviate the congestion. And maybe return some of the trees so it is, in fact, a "forest".

I realize the money-making aspect of this project but oh MAN I hope this doesn't happen.
I am puzzled by that attitude as I see very little drawbacks and lots of pluses to the prodject. We really don't lose anything but parking spaces if they build it and we gain all the advantages that the park and extra cash brings in. Heck its possible thas this could lead to the park being one of the lead parks in the company. Ohe only needs to look at the advantages that Carowinds received over KD to see what being the premiere park in the company can do for. Add to the possibility of pulling kids away from BGW durring Hallowscream and I see it as a big win win.

Parking is worth discussing however. I know we have talked about it before, but damn. things could get tight unless they have plans to expand the overflow.

I've been thinking about that:
What if they expand overflow....or take bus parking elsewhere so they didn't use England. Use England in the way they use France now.

I also got a suggestion from a friend:
Carpool parking pricing. $20 for 2 or less occupants. $15 for 3 or 4 occupants. $10 for 5+ occupants. Encourage people to carpool. Expand WCUSA parking, and offer $10+shuttle to remote park there on select days. Encourage shuttle use from the hotels by offering a snack and drink voucher with use of shuttle.
